Our client is looking for a talented and strategically minded Graphic Designer to join their creative team. Reporting directly to the Head of Creative, this role plays a critical part in producing high-impact visual content that supports both internal branding and client marketing objectives. You’ll work across multiple departments, including product, project management, development, and strategy—to create visually compelling and technically sound design solutions. The role combines creative freedom with business practicality, offering a space for a self-driven designer to thrive, influence processes, and make a significant contribution to a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

• Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and tools in advertising, design, and web development
• Execute creative briefs independently while maintaining brand integrity and design consistency
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and project managers to improve creative and technical workflows
• Conduct design-focused research and liaise with internal stakeholders to align output with business goals
• Clearly communicate design strategies and ideas to multidisciplinary teams
• Promote high standards of creative execution and contribute to team-wide process improvements
• Deliver a wide range of visual assets and creative collateral, including:
• Creative strategy and ideation
• Branding and identity systems
• Logo and concept design
• Web design and digital assets (banners, videos, etc.)

• 3–5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in a digital agency or in-house marketing team
• Proven experience in digital marketing and web design environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage creative projects end-to-end, including timelines and deliverables
• Strong portfolio showcasing both conceptual and executional excellence in visual and interaction design
• Experience working under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
• Experience liaising with senior internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• No formal academic degree specified, but advanced training and demonstrable skills in graphic design are required
• Training or self-taught experience in UI/UX and motion graphics is advantageous
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket)

• Create with Impact: Design and deliver high-quality graphics, animations, and videos for print, web, social media, and more.

• Bring Brands to Life: Apply your skills in typography, layout, and brand styling to produce assets that are instantly recognisable and impactful.

• Collaborate & Innovate: Work side-by-side with marketing, suppliers, and agencies to execute ideas that resonate.

• Own the Process: Take projects from initial concept through to final delivery, incorporating feedback and meeting deadlines.

• Stay Ahead: Keep up with trends, tools, and emerging technologies — including how AI can supercharge design work.

• Degree or certification in design, video editing, animation, or visual arts

• 6+ years of professional design experience

• A standout portfolio & showreel showcasing your range in static, animated, and video work

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and solid understanding of digital/print production best practices

• Strong eye for typography, composition, and brand application

• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Bonus points for HTML5 animations and 3D skills (e.g., Blender)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design visually compelling digital ads for Google, Meta, TikTok and X.
• Develop engaging HTML emails and landing pages optimised for UX and conversion.
• Collaborate with Marketing leads to ensure visuals align with campaign strategy and performance goals.
• Create animated banners, motion graphics, and interactive ads using Google Web Designer and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ensure all digital content is responsive across various screen sizes and platforms.
• Support occasional print design needs (e.g flyers, menus, posters, POS materials.
• Optimize digital creatives for cross-bowser and cross-device compatibility.
• Participate in creative testing initiatives to improve campaign performance.
  
  

• A strong, relevant portfolio and digital design work.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite-Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects etc.
• Proficiency in Google Web Designer for HTMLS ad development.
• Solid understanding of HTMLS/CSS and basic knowledge of JavaScript.
• Experience designing for Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and X.
• A strong sense of layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy.

Overview

As a Senior Creative you will work with our passionate, multi-talented studio delivering on exceptional, integrated concepts and designs to exceed client briefs and expectations.

A Senior Digital Designer can expect to be craft-led and platform neutral conceptual thinkers, in particular having an understanding of all major social platforms as well as being comfortable executing work on these platforms as well as any digital format. Should a desire to transform companies by creating beautiful, intuitive, and human-centred products and experiences.

The successful candidate will be tuned into all aspects of South African popular culture and the platforms and media it plays in, as well as have a strong point of view on what it takes to win in this space.

Responsibilities

• Be up to date with digital platforms
• Manage your creative process on projects
• Work with other disciplines (Strategists, Developers, Media, Accounts, etc.)
• Be a champion for digital innovation on every project you touch
• Participate in pitches for new business
• Define or apply the aesthetic of overall campaigns
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Generate ideas and sell them into clients or other members of the team
• Mock up creative ideas
• Design across multiple channels
• Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list
• Participate in brainstorms & conceptualisation
• Lead the craft & design of your idea
• Compile presentations for clients and learn to present
• Attend client briefings & if required, present to clients
  
  

• Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience
• Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication skills with ability to provide rationales for creative choices made
