We’re currently looking for a Segment Content Marketing Specialist to join our Industrial Segment marketing team, supporting strategic content development across global campaigns. This role will be based in South Africa and will collaborate closely with a small, agile team of three—with colleagues. Together, this team drives impactful content that engages industrial customers throughout their buying journey and positions Eaton as a trusted partner in the market.

What You’ll Do

The Segment Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for orchestrating the development and optimization of highly compelling content that clearly differentiates Eaton and drives engagement with prospects at every stage of their buying journey.

The Segment Content Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role, working closely with internal MarCom Centers of Excellence (COEs) and shared services teams to ensure that all content is developed to the highest standard and presented in formats that align with how target audiences prefer to engage with and consume information—supporting their decision-making processes.

This role will leverage all relevant engagement data to inform content optimization strategies and will continuously seek feedback from field teams and, where possible, directly from customers.

The Segment Content Marketing Specialist (Industrial segments) is responsible for the following:

  • Managing the development and optimization of all content needed for demand generation and ABM campaigns, complete with all required metadata.
  • Leveraging UX, Social and SEO COE expertise in the supporting COEs to shape and optimize all content supporting integrated campaigns.
  • Initiating development of landing page content objects in Percolate - must have good understanding of all AEM components and set out clear briefs for copywriters and publishers on required messaging, layout and needed CTAs.
  • Initiating development of all required email campaigns in Percolate - must know all Eloqua email templates available and set out clear briefs on messaging, layout and needed CTAs for copywriters and Eloqua publishing teams.
  • Initiating the creation of sales enablement and relevant digital assets such as flyers, brochures and catalogs that includes briefs on messaging, layout and needed CTAs.
  • Initiating the creation of social posts, videos and other promotional material needed that includes briefs on messaging, layout and needed CTAs.
  • Acting as a bridge between BU and Segment scrum teams and driving involvement of both.

Key Operating Principles

  • Accountability: Content this role develops must be aligned to the needs identified in the buyer and campaign journey maps.
  • Data-informed: Build and optimize content effectiveness using a data-informed approach at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor level degree with postgraduate qualification in marketing or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing communications experience.
