Duties & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automation Skills Consultant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation technology, coupled with excellent communication and sales skills. You will be responsible for selling training solutions to a diverse range of industries and identifying skills gaps within client organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their automation training needs and objectives.
- Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify skills gaps within client organizations.
- Develop customized training solutions tailored to address specific skill gaps and meet client requirements.
- Present and demonstrate the client’s training solutions to potential clients, effectively articulating the value proposition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on automation training and skills development.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Technical Support, to ensure seamless delivery of training solutions.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance knowledge and expertise.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the client’s Training Solutions Division.
Qualifications:
- Degree (BTech/BEng/BScEng) in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Additional Commercial/Supply Chain Management qualification will be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years technical industrial experience in Plant Maintenance, Engineering or Operations.
- Minimum 2 years Industrial Solutions Sales/Consulting experience.

COOi Studios is looking for a Research and Development PIT to conduct quantitative and qualitative research on industry trends. The incumbent will support the Business Development Analyst in research, writing and editing support. The successful candidate will require a strong attention to detail in order to deliver based on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities.
- Prepare research reports and presentations that inform growth strategies and solution development.
- Support the development of go-to-market strategies and positioning for target industries.
Business Development Support
- Assist in identifying prospective clients and partners by researching potential opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of commercial proposals, quotes, and RFP responses.
- Support senior team members in attending industry events and client meetings.
Client and Partner Engagement
- Provide research and preparation support for client and partner conversations.
- Maintain updated records of client and partner interactions using CRM tools.
- Assist in developing client engagement materials, such as briefs and follow-up reports.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Collect and analyse client feedback, project results, and market data to support performance reviews.
- Assist in tracking project milestones and delivery metrics for internal reporting.
- Help compile case studies and lessons learned to inform improvements.
Team Development and Learning
- Support knowledge management by documenting research findings, templates, and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions to build business development and consulting skills.
- Collaborate with junior colleagues and PIT's, sharing resources and peer feedback where applicable.
Partnership and Ecosystem Support
- Conduct background research on strategic partners (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, ESD corporates).
- Help prepare partner engagement reports and presentations.
- Support the coordination of joint initiatives with external partners.
Branding and Recognition
- Assist in drafting thought leadership content, award submissions, and case studies.
- Work with marketing to prepare research-informed materials for COOi's digital platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Strategy, or related field.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience in research, consulting, business development, or innovation-related roles (internships included).
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and report writing.
- Exposure to CRM tools, digital platforms, or innovation/tech sector trends (advantageous).

Role Description
This is more than just compliance and checklists — it's a key client-facing role where your SDF knowledge and stakeholder savvy help businesses stay aligned with critical legislative frameworks.
You'll work directly with clients to facilitate skills development submissions, employment equity compliance, and DG funding applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage WSP/ATR submissions across multiple SETAs with precision and punctuality
Guide clients through legislative requirements and SETA, QCTO and DoEL changes
Develop and support EE Plans, reporting and committee meetings for compliance
Assist with SETA DG funding applications, ensuring all compliance measures are met
Provide expert consultation and documentation support on EE inspections
Verify reports, manage administrator outputs and keep clients in the loop
Travel between client sites as needed (you'll need a driver's license and reliable vehicle)
You're a Match If You Have:
Essentials:
- National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Development
- 3–5 years' experience as an SDF or in an HR environment
- In-depth knowledge of the SDA, SDL, EEA, B-BBEE, BCEA, and LRA
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid SA driver's license and your own reliable transport
Preferred:
- Degree in Human Resources Management / Human Resource Development
