Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a confident self-starter with proven experience in hydraulics, welding, fabrication, gas, or industrial tooling. You will be responsible for generating leads, building strong client relationships, and closing sales — all while delivering exceptional customer service.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop new business through cold calls, site visits, and product demonstrations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with expert guidance and solutions.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations with timely follow-ups.
• Plan and manage your territory effectively to meet monthly sales and GP targets.
• Conduct on-site demonstrations of welding machinery and tools.
• Manage backorders and deliveries to exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain sales data and reports via Repsly or similar CRM tools.

What We’re Looking For :

• Matric (minimum); Tertiary qualification in technical or commercial field is an advantage.
• 5+ years’ proven sales experience in welding, hydraulics, fabrication, gas, or tooling sectors.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license with reliable own transport.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures.

Program Assistant-Secunda Second Sundays

Summary:

The Program Assistant(s) will help the Museum Curator with a new community program! This monthly open house event will take place in Chrysler Hall from 1-4 every Second Sunday from September 2025 to May 2026 and will include:

● A family art activity
● An evaluation activity
● Docent tours
● Behind the scenes information

Duties:
Under the direction of the Curator, the Program Assistants will:
● Greet visitors, welcome them to the museum, and orient them
● Facilitate a family art activity in Chrysler 205 (ex: torn paper collage, potato printmaking)
○ If the students are interested, they may brainstorm and plan future art activities
● Help facilitate and/or encourage visitors to participate in an evaluation activity (ex: survey, talkback board where visitors can share what they want in a community museum, timing and tracking study)
● If the students are interested, they may give tours and presentations

Skills:

In this position the Program Assistant(s) will develop the following skills:
● Familiarity with Arthur Secunda, the Arthur Secunda Museum, and some of Secunda’s media and techniques including collage and printmaking
● Museum education and interpretation basics
● Visitor studies/program evaluation goals and tools
