The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders at member institutions to identify opportunities for new group purchasing contracts. This role involves conducting market research, developing procurement strategies, and overseeing the tender and contract award processes to ensure cost-effective, high-value group contracts.

You will also be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and promoting the organization's services. Additionally, you'll coordinate interdisciplinary procurement forums and contribute to strategic and operational planning with our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Oversee procurement services for assigned contract portfolios, driving efficiency, reducing the total cost of ownership, and monitoring supplier performance.
  2. Manage supplier contracts with a focus on cost optimization and service quality.
  3. Maintain professional communication with clients and suppliers.
  4. Respond promptly to inquiries from member institutions and suppliers, ensuring quality, timely deliveries, and adherence to procurement goals.
  5. Ensure effective and timely resolution of order and delivery-related issues.
  6. Facilitate efficient supply chain management processes.
  7. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing and shared services.
  8. Supervise one support staff member and provide backup support across roles as needed.
  9. Provide accurate and timely management reports to the CEO and member forums.
  10. Ensure that all tender processes are legally sound and defensible.
Minimum Requirements :
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Management, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in a corporate procurement environment.
  3. Familiarity with e-procurement systems.
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relations for materials and services aligned with project and business requirements. This role ensures cost-effective procurement, contract compliance, and on-time delivery through end-to-end coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and ensure they align with approved specifications and budgets
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure cost competitiveness
  • Prepare & float RFQs, conduct bid analysis, and issue purchase orders in ERP systems
  • Ensure timely delivery by monitoring and following up on outstanding POs
  • Address and resolve vendor disputes regarding quality, warranty, and delivery
  • Draft and amend supplier contracts, agreements, and SLAs in line with business needs
  • Maintain and update the preferred supplier list and ensure vendor compliance

Educational Qualifications
