What are we looking for

The Cosentino team is looking for an Retail Sales Manager for Johannesburg or Durban .

You will be responsible for our strategy and relationship with our clients, ensuring the sales and promotion of our Cosentino products. Acquiring new and maintaining current customers will be part of your responsibilities, as well as understanding what they are looking for in order to achieve their short-and long-term expectations to ensure delivery of the best of our services, generate demand, through appropriate care and service to the different sales channels for the company: knowledge of the kitchen, and the stone industry is desirable. A willingness to work with K&B stores, Fabricators and interior designers to generate leads.

What you will do

You will serve as our client’s main point of contact, helping them to reach their goals and ensuring a continued, positive and profitable relationship for both sides. In order to be a successful Account Manager with us you will work with different segments:

Develop and maintain current product knowledge to present to customers.
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients within the remodel, home improvement, cabinet makers, builders, and fabrication.
Responsible for overall sales of the assigned territory.
Identify and take the opportunities to maximize the visibility of Cosentino products to generate sales.
Optimize sales and marketing by promoting visits to Cosentino Centers.
Work to find new points of sale.


Customer Service

Ensure customers have adequate marketing materials to support sales, including samples, brochures, and other collateral supplies, such as display towers.
Manage customer relationships by resolving client concerns, ensuring customers are set up in CRM . System, providing price quotes, scheduling weekly visits, etc.
Increase market share by elevating the number of displays and point-of-purchase materials within assigned territory.
Plan the number of visits to clients and the appropriate frequency of visits based on client importance.
Build and maintain good relationships with clients based on mutual trust and respect.
Attend and provide post–sale service.

Prepare action plans to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Collaborate with Cosentino Corporate staff, Cosentino Center staff, and other Account Managers as needed to accomplish goals.
Work with General Manager and Sales Team to execute a business strategy for all customer segments in the area (K&B, Fabricators, etc.).
Train in the characteristics and the attributes of the product, provide information, deliver marketing tools relevant to the client’s segmentation.
Monitor and maintaining data in CRM.

What you need to succeed

Required Experience:

At least 2-3 years of experience in:

Commercial Project.

Experience with a Customer database, Salesforce preferred.

Stone fabrication or distribution experience

  • Drive the adoption of processes within the team which consider and meet the expectations of technical throughput rates and responses; effective resource utilization during operation and Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative by understanding, acquiring and implementing new knowledge and skills both within team and to the wider group.
  • Pursue self-improvement through mentoring and coaching from senior team members
  • Produce documentation for end-users and internal use
  • Identify team members requiring a specific knowledge, skill or understanding and seek ways to impart or upskill the junior team members through coaching and mentorship
  • Verify the knowledge has been imparted successfully and if not, take steps to rectify gaps in transfer of the knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Matric or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 2 -3 years’ work experience with a proven track record in a product specialist role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Sales or Business experience
  • Marketing and Experience in tracking relevant KPI’s (e.g. Customer satisfaction)

Duties & Responsibilities

Group Catalogue and Master Data Maintenance:

  • Take the lead in managing our product catalogue system to uphold best-in-class standards.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of product information across all brands and regions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate the quality of our catalogue and product master data.

Range Fill:

  • Ensure that range fill targets are consistently met for each brand.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities and potential gaps in our product range.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Specialists to analyze range fill data and identify trends for improvement.
  • Maintain the integrity of external market data platforms and consolidate data sources for internal analysis.
  • Utilize tools such as TecDoc, Lightstone, and NAAMSA to gather actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Price List Management:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing across all products and group price lists.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to communicate price list updates effectively.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the organization and customers, ensuring timely communication of product introductions and updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align business objectives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric
  • 3-year degree/diploma in Marketing, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • 5 years of experience in Database maintenance, Market research, Data analysis, Automotive aftermarket
  • Proficiency in Excel (Advanced) and PowerPoint (Intermediate)
  • Familiarity with cataloguing software
  • Knowledge of cataloguing software and database maintenance
  • Knowledge of application coding would be advantageous

  • Has a strong grasp of stock control, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Is organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple stores
  • Works well under pressure and handles challenges with confidence
  • Is computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Holds a Matric (a Diploma or B-Tech in Retail Management is advantageous)
