Function Overview

This role provides essential support to the Financial Operations (FinOps) team, with a focus on all financial activities related to CIS trading and banking, as well as other pooled portfolios. The function is responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and contributing to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. A strong emphasis is placed on delivering high-quality client service and meeting critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• All payments both locally and offshore and monitoring the settlement thereof.
• Portfolio cash management.
• Processing investment and/or disinvestment instructions both locally and offshore.
• Unit Reconciliation of underlying third-party statements.
• Query resolution.
• Setup of trade accounts.
• Improving of processes and controls within the CIS trading and banking environment.
• Assist with the linking of CIS instruments via Finswitch and Calastone.
• Review and assess risk areas in the CIS trading and banking and drive resolution of these in a timely manner.
• Ongoing monitoring of the CIS trading and banking function and problem resolution.
• Review monthly reports and controls.
• Relationship management of internal clients, trustees/custodians (CIS), external clients and regulators for all matters relating to CIS trading and banking.
• Providing support to the FinOps team leader and broader team.
• Any other task that may be required in support of the administration of CIS trading and banking.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), finance related.
• Minimum 1-3 years Unit Trust Administration experience.
• Fluent in English (both formal and verbal)

Operations Quality Analyst for vegetable unit- Maternity Cover

Manage non-conformance process. (Register, product status decision making). Verifying physical stock on hold on floor and updating on hold tracker. Raise non conformances, Drive investigations of non-conformance and update the tracker.

Facilitate problem solving and root cause analysis. Attend daily MDT sessions for RCAs on top 3 plant issues.

Conduct process audits and verify packaging compliance. Validate weights, TDS, Vacuum, product and processing Temperatures. Populate review.

Ensure execution of HACCP (Housekeeping checks (Daily), Fo Controls (Weekly), Glass Breakage (Weekly), Waste Management, Pest Control, chemical controls. cleaning and sanitation).

Develop and conduct training (PRP, CCP, OPRR, SOP, Work Instructions).

Lead investigation and develop lessons learnt (Complaints & Warehouse Internal & External Warehouse rejects). Attend to warehouse issues, conduct investigation and formulate a detailed reports for incidents.

Daily review of manufacturing/ process and finished product vrs specifications (Trends).

Interpret results (accept or reject)- Lab results, incubation results and do product release for labelling or external warehouses.

Drive quality gate keeping in innovation.

You will be responsible for:

Incident Monitoring and Response

• Review and analyse all alerts and respond according to prescribed processes
• Guidance of L1 SOC Analysts
• Create incidents in our change management system for other teams to take remediation actions when required.

Remediation Recommendations

• Provide mitigation recommendations for each identified security incident where applicable
• Based on the types of alerts and actions being taken identify root causes and recommend ways to improve the protection capabilities of the organization (e.g. upload malicious URL to tools to security controls, and manage indicators of compromise)

Case Management

• Update the alert/case information with closure information (All fields that are required to be updated when the alert/case is closed)

Reporting

• Run, Analyse and Interpret reports on different platforms.

Manage and Administer Technical Controls

• Create, configure and deploy policies and signatures on technical security controls

Perform Threat Hunts

• Document the outcome of the hunt with recommendation if any IOC's picked up.

Oversight of Level 1 SOC Analysts

• Assisting L1's during investigations and review the recommendations made
• Guiding and Mentoring of Level 1 SOC Analysts

Participate in Cyber Security War Rooms (P1 and P2 Incidents)

Responsible for logging changes to update the security products to pro-actively block potentially malicious actions (e.g. URL's, phishing emails, etc)
