Job Description
Role Summary
The role incumbent leads customer development and multi-customer projects for all projects including 'New Part Introductions' from initiation until product launch (project request approval until project closure). He/she leads a project and ensures that the defined objectives in terms of acquisition hit rate and project targets for quality, cost and timing are achieved. The Project Manager assumes responsibilities within the product development process as defined in the xSEP.
Main Tasks
- Lead customer development and multi-customer projects from acquisition to product launch phase considering technical and commercial aspects.
- Plan, structure and coordinate all project related activities of a cross-functional team in accordance with the MANN+HUMMEL development process (xSEP) to ensure the achievement of quality, timing and commercial targets.
- Ensure the achievement of quality requirements by initiating and coordinating all required activities acc. to xSEP (risk analysis, feasibility, product assurance plan/"PCF")
- Project budget, timing and profitability responsibility: Plan, track and analyse. Initiate corrective actions and/or escalate in case of deviations.
- Main interface to internal customer within the scope of projects (particularly regarding timing, cost and quality/function)
- Initiate technical concepts and product costing ("PCR")
- Report project status internally and externally (project team, steering committee, customer meetings, senior management) and conducts Functional Review with supervisor
- Coordinate and ensure receiving required internal and external approvals acc. to xSEP and customer process (budget, Gates, design freeze etc)
- Initiate and coordinate Technical Change Management within active customer development projects in accordance with M+H procedure.
- Maintain all PM relevant (master) data in Projects and CIM Database to ensure that all information and PM relevant documentation is available and up-to-date
- Conduct Lost and Won Order analysis
- (International/global projects): Assumes responsibilities within the product development process as defined in the xSEP by performing all aaccountabilities on a global level
