Job Description

Purpose of the Role Reporting to the National Procurement Manager and based at the Shared Services Centre in Roodepoort, this role supports the integrity and efficiency of procurement operations by managing vendor and material master data, ensuring B-BBEE compliance, performing supplier risk checks, and supporting procurement reporting and administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong SAP and procurement admin experience, meticulous attention to detail, and a working knowledge of supplier governance processes.Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Administration relating to creation and maintenance of new and existing vendors and material master data for all company codes.
  2. Performing vendor verification checks for South African based companies.
  3. Completion of credit applications and ensuring that the Company does not extend its risk profile with suppliers.
  4. Updating BBEE status, classification fields of vendor master data for BBBEE as well as creating a scorecard on the nominated procurement system or portal.
  5. Assisting in the annual accreditations by the Verification Agency by providing the required worksheets for the previous financial year together with certificates and other supporting evidence.
  6. Housekeeping of vendor and material master data as well as compilation of procurement reports.
  7. Playing an administrative role in general communication to suppliers.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 plus a Certificate or Diploma in Commercial/Business/Supply Chain/Procurement Management.
  • Three years’ experience within a financial or procurement environment, two years of which must have been in a procurement administration role.
  • Minimum three years SAP MM/FI experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Planning and general administration skills

This role ensures compliance with procurement policies, drives efficient tender planning and execution, and fosters strong partnerships with key suppliers to support the company’s strategic sourcing objectives within the mining and manufacturing sectors.Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Managing and rolling out of a standardised tender process and system throughout the entire company and subsidiaries for purchases of Goods above R500k and recurring Services for longer than 12 months or R100k per month.
  2. Tender planning, communication and meetings – internally and externally
  3. Contract management of all key supplier contracts and preferred suppliers
  4. Supplier Relationship Management
  5. Executing procurement policy and implementing plans as directed by National Procurement Manager
  6. Monitoring and evaluating Tender and Contracts Specialist activity to ensure internal compliance with company policies and procedures and internal customer relationships compliance.
Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:
  • B degree in Commercial / Business / Supply Chain / Procurement or equivalent diploma (3 years minimum)
  • CIPS qualification / membership or equivalent e.g. SAPICS will be advantageous.
  • At least 7 years working experience in a procuring for the mining/manufacturing environment with 2 years in a procurement managerial position.
  • Experience in Managing Tender and Contracts Management processes and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Knowledge of B-BBEE and Mining Charter Scorecards
  • Knowledge of the industry in which the various Business Units operates (mining/manufacturing)
  • Knowledge of SAP (MM, FI and PM) and advanced Excel knowledge
  • Knowledge of SLAs, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Tender Management
  • Process and CEP process
  • Analytical skills
  • Business Acumen
  • Networking, Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Quality Control Officer

A wheelchair manufacturer in Roodepoort requires a Quality Control Officer with a sound technical background as well as initiative, drive and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Oversee receiving of faulty products, fault finding and return of repaired or replacement products to other branches.
  2. Communicate and record faults with the sales team.
  3. Inspect the products on a daily basis to ensure compliance and record keeping.
  4. Ensure that daily quality checks are done per department.
  5. Assist with the creation and implementation of quality inspection procedures and work instruction documents.
  6. Ensure that the QMS document processes and information are up to date.
  7. Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and recorded.
  8. Ensure that all change requests are documented and maintained.
  9. Monitor, review, update and implement changes to management systems requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  1. Sound technical ability and experience.
  2. Minimum of a Diploma in Industrial Engineering or similar.
  3. Experience and knowledge in maintaining the ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.
  4. Experience in document control and record keeping.
  5. Experience in drafting, implementing and controlling SOPs, WIs and QC checks.
Package & Remuneration

CTC R15000 to R20 000 per month.
