- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Create, maintain and evaluate budgets and expenditures.
- Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Contribute to and set departmental goals with specific reference to sales and production volume, sales price, variable cost of production, product mix and geographical distribution mix.
- Monitor market demand, conditions and competitor activity with respect to impact on goals.
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, safety, guidelines and ISO requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Tertiary qualification in logistics / supply chain or relevant field is advantageous
- Good understanding of logistics and inventory management
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within a manufacturing industry
