3. Perform Administration

  • Load policies, amendments and endorsements on the system promptly
  • Ensure premium payments processes and debits are discussed and agreed upon with clients
  • Ensure data integrity on all policy systems
  • General correspondence and e-mails to clients according to company standards
  • Responsible for proactive and reactive underwriting.
  • Adhere to underwriting criteria; FAIS requirements and set company standards
  • Manage incoming and outgoing e-mails according to set norms and standards.
  • Provide regular reports and feedback to the manager
  • Provide a rewarding service experience at all touch points
  • Ensure that customer queries are attended to and resolved expeditiously

Futureworld works with large organizations to build game-changing new businesses. We are currently recruiting for Financial Advisors qualified in short and/or long term products to work at a soon to launch insurtech business that we are building in partnership with a leading media company. Note that this role will be employed directly by this new business, not Futureworld.

We are building a digital insurance brokerage that provides South Africans with the personalized advice you need, without the spam – it's not just about the lowest price! We combine technology with human advisors to offer upper-middle and affluent South African consumers transparent and personalized processes that help them understand, compare, purchase, and manage financial products.

Backed by one of SA's largest media companies, this is a well-funded early-stage venture, with a serious competitive advantage and potential for scale. Launching in the second half of 2025, this is an exciting opportunity to form part of the team building a disruptive new business.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our business is advice. Our team of Financial Advisors serve as trusted partners to our clients – we provide personalized insurance advice and always have our client’s best interest in mind. The successful candidate should have a strong track record as a financial advisor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced digital environment.

We will provide our advisors with a strong marketing capability and pool of leads, the tools they need to convert leads through a seamless sales experience, access to a portfolio of products from leading insurers, recommendations and tools to help advisors provide personalized advice, and a platform to manage business and relationships, digitally.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Provide stellar advice to clients, build and maintain strong client relationships, and manage a book of business.

  • Generate and convert leads through your own network and allocated leads to grow your book of business.

  • Upsell and cross sell products through various verticles by offering wholistic financial advice

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships – our promise is that we’ll handle the hard stuff for you. This means the highest level of attention and care for client experience is critical.

  • Collaborating with our digital team to enhance our online services and tools.

  • Build relationships with financial services partners, to ensure that advisors are up to date on the latest tools and training for our portfolio of products.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Provide input to financial education content and tools.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Relevant qualification and 2+ years of experience as a financial advisor, including long-term insurance and investments and/or short-term insurance products.

  • Completed FAIS recognised qualification with 120 credits.

  • Highly motivated and target-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales goals.

  • Relevant regulatory (RE) examinations completed.

  • Completed Class of Business for relevant categories.

  • FAIS “fit and proper” based on DOFA date

  • Completed the recognized FSCA supervision period and signed off by KI.

  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.

  • Professional individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience is relationship building and ability to negotiate and influence.

  • Strong teamplayer.

  • Good understanding and experience in the financial services industry.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in client service and business development would be an advantage.
