Investec Life is a licensed insurer within the Investec Group, providing life insurance and life investment products to retail clients. The life investment proposition includes local and offshore products with the life wrapper on underlying assets such as fixed return investments, structured products and private equity alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities- Designing, implementing, and monitoring all business processes, including ensuring the accurate implementation of investment mandates and client instruction via the financial advisers.
- Working closely with the Product team, timeously informing them of flows and new business instructions.
- Develop partnerships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and our distribution channels
- Manage our month-end operational processes, including quarter-end reporting
- Oversee product fact sheets management
- Preparing subscription and redemption instructions for funds and conduct appropriate bank account reconciliations
- Preparation of reports where necessary
- Provide operational support as and when necessary, into the product development, risk management, compliance and finance functions
- Onboard intermediaries and underlying high-net-worth clients
- Assist in audits and compliance checks as required
- General administration tasks
- Demonstrated experience in supporting front office, middle office, the finance functions and product development
- The role is technically challenging and would suit someone with accounting, investment, asset management or finance experience.
- Attention to detail, ownership, taking initiative with strong communication skills are important attributes.
