Main Purpose of the Role

The HR Manager will play a strategic and hands-on role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. This role is responsible for leading and delivering a wide range of HR services including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and HR policy development. The HR Manager will also provide oversight and support for payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely compensation. The ideal candidate will bring broad expertise in HR practices, in-depth knowledge of employment legislation and payroll operations, and strong leadership skills to manage priorities and drive HR initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support company culture and business goals through the implementation of a Human Resources strategy.
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with South African labour laws.
  • Manage all RSA HR functions including grievances, disciplinary issues, employment contracts, succession planning, and employee-related services.
  • Oversee South African talent acquisition and employee onboarding.
  • Ensure all statutory HR and payroll reporting requirements are met.
  • Oversee training budgets and programmes.
  • Implement initiatives to measure employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Manage employee wellness programmes.
  • Support and coach management on leadership and change management.
  • Assist managers in preparing job descriptions.
  • Address employee queries and oversee exit interviews.
  • Liaise with the Recruitment Specialist to assist with recruitment practices.
  • Lead and develop the HR team.
  • Introduce new ideas to improve employee engagement.
  • Manage and oversee the company's Performance Management process.
  • Maintain statutory documents such as Workmen's Compensation, BBBEE certificates, Employment Equity, and Workplace Skills Plan.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the HR field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in report writing using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (e.g., PaySpace).
  • Good knowledge of employment and labour laws.
