Key Outcomes

Enhance Financial Planning and Analysis Capability

Improve FP&A processes by refining scorecards, enabling cross-functional performance tracking, delivering meaningful variance analysis, and supporting operational leaders with financial advice and performance commentary.

Ensure Strategic Alignment with CCBA Financial Objectives

Actively engage with CCBA Group finance functions to align country-level reporting, planning, and performance tracking with group-wide FP&A objectives, ensuring country contributions are consistent with strategic targets.

Champion Business Partnering and Decision Support

Deliver a customer-centric finance function that acts as a strategic business partner—constructively challenging assumptions, supporting key initiatives, and enabling informed decision-making through robust analysis and financial insight.

Build Finance Capability and Data Ownership

Support capability development across the finance team through coaching, training, and technical support (e.g., use of Tableau, EDW, and HFM), while owning and overseeing the execution of country-specific tasks across these platforms to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional qualification: CPA (K)/ACCA (A), CIMA.
  • Added advantage: Certified Accreditation (e.g., CA(SA), MBA).

Experience

  • 5–7 years of financial experience, with at least 5 years in management roles.
  • Proven track record in finance leadership roles with responsibility for decision-making and strategic oversight.

Skills

What will you do?

What will make you successful in this role?
Deliver high quality and timeous Financial Reporting

  • Ensure the establishment of effective in-country reporting under IFRS as per JV standards and policy;
  • Streamline the reporting process from entities to the hub and into the Group reporting tool (HFM);
  • Ensure internal financial controls and financial IFRS compliance, as well as, ensure that all relevant Group Accounting policies are adhered to in our countries as well as at the hub;

Qualification and Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or degree in economics and a master's in management control, audit or information systems.

Good understanding of SAP to ensure alignment with management reporting objectives and requirements. Month end and year end closing managed per timetable. Prepare GL to assist reporting in Onestream. Data in systems aligned with Group requirements. Provide financial information for Business Unit reporting. Accurate and timeous month-end reporting in accordance with Group timelines and requirements. Provide inputs to the Cash flow forecasting process. Accurate and timeous financial information for reporting purposes. Perform monthly GL and/or sub ledger reconciliations. Accurate and timeous complete GL accounts/reconciliations. Reviews and validates GL reconciliations. Ensure all GL reconciliations are performed and completed audit files are delivered for review. Comply with requirements in terms of controls over financial reporting and GL. Perform monthly SOX controls. Perform SOX testing during testing cycles for financial reporting and GL. Monthly and annual Rehabilitation provision calculations and updates. Prepare reports required for Govcom/Opscom/Board cycles Provide the necessary information within prescribed deadlines to external and internal auditors to ensure audits are seamless and completed timeously. High quality audit file, with all necessary supporting documentation prepared. Minimal audit findings, timely mitigated. Technical issues timeously identified and actioned. First preparer of RPC technical position papers. Present at OME RPC Prepare position papers for discussion at the OME RPC. Engage with Group Technical department to align concept before Group RPC. Monthly and annual Tax calculations and tax returns (Income Tax and Carbon Tax). Preparation of tax returns in conjunction with Group Tax Services. Timeous and accurate completion of tax returns. STATS SA reporting completed timeously. Queries are handled effectively and efficiently.

Formal Education

  • B.Com Hons Accounting / CTA or equivalent with articles and with 2+ years relevant experience
  • Proven technical financial reporting skills
