ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
  1. Working closely with the Delivery Manager of the department to steer and support the feature team from a requirements engineering point of view.
  2. Fulfil the prioritised requirements using agile methodologies.
  3. Risk management and conflict resolution.
  4. Collaborate with Business and IT Sub-Product Owners and colleagues across multiple products and countries.
  5. Understand the product and its processes from a technical and business viewpoint.
  6. Support the Sub-IT Product Owner in creation and prioritisation of Product Backlog with business stakeholders and technical team.
  7. Ensure quality and timeliness of agreed deliverables.
  8. Quality Assurance of deliverables.
  9. Timely escalation of risks to the IT Product Owner and Delivery Manager.
  10. Coach and mentor junior team members.
  11. Travel as and when business requires.
  12. Provide operational related support to the team where required.
  13. Will be required to work closely with the Testing team to ensure quality of the product.
  14. Works hand in hand with Agile Master and Proxy PdO in Planning and Steering Domain Cycles / Sprints.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead team members on pertinant issues.

  • Deliver repair services to Customer staff at Tech Bar.
  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and work orders in a courteous manner.

  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers.
  • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technical level.
  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.

Qualifications

Professional knowledge and qualifications required:

  • Speaks and writes in English to a good level.
  • Any College degree – ideally within IT
  • Experienced in all forms of MS Windows based personal computing devices and associated peripherals
  • Acquires job skills and learns / adheres to company policies and procedures. Complete routine tasks pertaining to computer hardware, software or operating system support.

Upon completion and sign-off of all punch items, the Clients Engineer shall formally accept the relevant scope items. If punch items categories 1 and 2 are still open, the acceptance certificate will be withheld until punch items are worked off.
  • Review of the overall data pack for the relevant structure for completeness.
  • The Clients Engineer shall review the red line drawing issued by the mine and correlate this back to the final inspection and acceptance of the scope item. If the red lines are poor and do not capture all the modifications, they will be returned for the mine to source all the updated data for incorporation into as-built drawings. Any changes are subject to Change Management procedures. Red line incorporation into the as-built drawings is excluded from this scope.

The main function of the Worley Civil Field Engineer is to coordinate between the site construction team and the Worley design home office engineering team. This role supports the Exxaro appointed field engineer in responding to technical queries (TQ). During the construction phase, Worley's Civil Field Engineer will:

  1. Coordinate between the site construction team and the Worley design home office engineering team.
  2. Contribute to the Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for five packages: EW/Box cut, Silo, Conveyors, Support Complex, and Tunnels.
  3. Review datasheets of materials used in construction.
  4. Review construction plans and procedures.
  5. Inspect supplier fabrications.
  6. Review and approve concessions related to civil earthworks and structural concrete works.
  7. Review and respond to engineering site queries concerning earthworks and structural concrete works.
  8. Manage punch list items, issue corrections, and upon completion, formally accept scope items, withholding acceptance if punch items are unresolved.
  9. Review the data pack for each structure for completeness.
  10. Review red line drawings issued by Exxaro, ensure modifications are incorporated, and manage changes following Change Management procedures.

Job Description

The main function of the Worley Civil Field Engineer is to coordinate between the site construction team and the Worley design home office engineering team. The role is to support, not replace, the Exxaro-appointed field engineer, by responding to technical queries (TQ).

During the construction phase, under the supervision of Exxaro, the Worley Civil Field Engineer will:

  1. Coordinate between the site construction team and the Worley design home office engineering team.
  2. Contribute to the Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for five packages: EW/Box cut, Silo, Conveyors, Support Complex, and Tunnels.
  3. Review datasheets of materials used in construction.
  4. Review construction plans and procedures.
  5. Inspect supplier fabrications.
  6. Review and approve concessions related to civil earthworks and structural concrete works.
  7. Respond to engineering site queries regarding earthworks and structural concrete works.
  8. Manage punch list items and issue correction notices to Exxaro. Upon completion and sign-off of all punch items, the Worley engineer will formally accept the scope items. If punch items in categories 1 and 2 remain open, acceptance will be withheld until resolved.
  9. Review the overall data pack for the relevant structure for completeness.
  10. Review red line drawings issued by Exxaro, ensuring all modifications are captured. Poorly annotated drawings will be returned for updates, which are excluded from this scope and subject to Change Management procedures.
