POSITION INFO : About the role :

The Distribution Support Analyst will be a key member of the distribution team, reporting directly to the regional sales manager, providing essential analytical, operational, and administrative support. This role is crucial for driving sales effectiveness and efficiency by transforming data into actionable insights, preparing client & Adviser facing materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of our sales processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Analysis & Reporting :

  • Entry-level position, no experience required; however, prior experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

    Job Purpose:

    Responsible primarily for the effective and efficient distribution management of Pharmaceutical stock and to maximize return on customer deliveries and deliver key distribution objectives in line with the overall business objectives.

    Key Performance Areas:

    1. Oversee warehouse operations
    2. To effectively and efficiently manage the day to day distribution operations for the warehouse including inter alia operations, customers, people and processes
    3. Cost management, including budgetary alignment and capital expenditure (CAPEX)
    4. Management of the Distribution customer interface; ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth
    5. Responsible to ensure that security and loss control is in line with company guidelines & policies as well as managing pharmaceutical compliance as per regulations
    6. Leads and manages all of the activities of the supervisors in the departments of Receiving, Put-Away, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Inventory Control and holds direct reports for all day-to-day activities
    7. Sets the standard for leadership in the warehouse and leads by example. Leads in a manner that is consistent with our organizational culture
    8. Participates in the employment process and recommends candidates for employment. Trains, develops and coaches staff
    9. Promotes employee development, creative thinking, empowerment and two-way communication
    10. Makes recommendations regarding workflow and overtime when needed
    11. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently
    12. Oversees administrative staff to ensure that an even flow of orders are released per the order picking schedule
    13. Reviews all internal reports to measure and assess operational effectiveness, to ensure timely shipment of all orders and adherence to operational goals
    14. Resolves problems that prevent a timely and efficient handling of inbound and outbound orders
    15. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory and operational procedures
    16. Conducts meetings with staff to review performance/results and perform operational training
    17. Ensures that all department training needs are satisfied
    18. Assists in preparing and maintaining SOP’s for Distribution Centre
    19. Communicates with Facilities Department to ensure that preventative maintenance is completed on all stretch wrappers, forklifts, walkie-riders, palletizers, dock-doors/plates, scales, freezers, heaters, lights, material handling equipment and internal assets
    20. Prepares a variety of reports, including Operational Updates for leadership, Gap Analysis and shares the information on an ongoing basis
    21. Optimize stock levels, availability and management
    22. Effectively and efficiently manage the company transport at a national level - this includes all components of the company transport offering (internal & courier) and owner driver scheme
