The successful incumbent will act as the Compliance Officer supporting Southern, Central and West Africa. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the incumbent must be a dynamic and committed. This role is critical in ensuring our business adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing hands-on compliance support, conducting risk assessments, and driving awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, persistent, and proactive, with a strong business mindset and the ability to translate compliance into practical, value-adding solutions.
- Apply and monitor compliance process across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance across a broad spectrum of regulatory requirements including inter alia: Companies Act; ABC applicable legislation; Competition Law; Data Privacy; King Code of Corporate Governance.
- Identify and assess compliance risk areas periodically and appropriately address findings through relevant and appropriate action plans processes.
- Advise on all compliance and regulatory matters that affect business decisions.
- Develop, promote, implement and maintain compliance standards and procedures that enable employees and the business to act in a compliant manner.
- Assist with the proper establishment and maintenance of procedures on the identification, reporting and resolution of breaches and other compliance and regulatory issues.
- Training on compliance.
- Ensure that an effective system exists for communicating the compliance standards and guidance in the compliance risk areas; and
- Execute all other functions related to the compliance mandate as delegated group compliance.
- Admitted Attorney, LLB or other equivalent legal or financial qualifications.
- Compliance related qualifications; and
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years' post articles and relevant in-house corporate experience.

Quality Assurance and compliance:

Risk management:
- Adhere to Informed Sport/ Choice standards by:

- Capturing results and create summary reports.
- Managing vendor audits and ensure that certificates are received for all vendors.

- Update and review department SOPs as requested
Customer Service:
- Address customer complaints as soon as they come in and resolve accordingly.
- Liaise with customers if deemed necessary.
- Investigate customer complaints and give relevant feedback, if matters are unresolved refer it to management.
- Arrange lab tests if necessary, as per instruction from senior team members
- Inform suppliers on what documents are required and ensure that they follow correct procedures to investigate
