We are seeking a Registered Nurse who is dynamic, dedicated, and with a strong nursing background for our frail care in Brentwood Park, Benoni.

Minimum Requirements:
- 3-6 years' experience in a leading role in a ward.
- Must be registered with the relevant authorities.
- Must perform all duties required in the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Rehabilitation and wound care would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ward.
- Work with multi-disciplinary team.
- Assist Doctors on rounds and execute all request.
- Patient care and counselling.
- Provide safe, clean and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Supervise and evaluate quality of patient care through patient rounds.
- Prioritize patient needs and care.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and internal control.
- Ensure cost effective nursing care.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Nursing Council
- Able to take charge of general ward
- Must perform all duties required in the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Rehabilitation and wound care would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of medicines
- Must be able to function under pressure and in an emergency situation
- Able to manage staff

• Ensure a current plan of care for each resident according to the current resident needs and documented Policies & Procedures, as well as the updating thereof as the needs of the resident changes.
• Report changes in resident’s care to the Nursing Services Manager, as well as documenting in the resident’s file.

• Maintain effective communication with all team leaders.
• Monitors resident’s daily menu requirements to ensure dietary needs and preferences are communicated directly to the catering staff.
• Participate in continuing professional development and compulsory education.
• Promote independence and mobility of residents.
• Counsel and advise residents and family.
• Performs any other tasks as reasonably requested.
