MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Building Foreman.
Qualified artisan with relevant trade certification.
Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software.
Proven experience in cost management for building works, ensuring projects stay within budget.
Experienced in material procurement and on-site material management.
Skilled in setting out buildings and managing levels with precision.
Conversant with standards, drawings, and quality control metrics.
Experienced in construction risk management and mitigation.
Ability to coordinate activities with civil and/or mechanical installation teams.
Facilitate work inspections with client representatives to meet project standards.
Ensure compliance with SHEQ regulations, applicable compliance obligations, and safety and quality control measures.
Implement and control lock-out and tag-out systems before and during energization.
Strong leadership qualities and a team player mentality.
Demonstrable ability to perform under pressure with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Must be a South African citizen.

JOB POSITION: SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Based in Bloemfontein, Raubex Infra is a subsidiary of the Raubex Group. We are looking for a Senior Construction Manager.
The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for on site management of road construction, and civil services, including full responsibility for contractual, technical, environmental and safety compliance; cost, quality, programme, integration, stakeholders, suppliers/ subcontractors, logistics and security. This position is regarded as a hands–on, site based, skilled management role.
Reporting to the Operations Director or Projects Director , the candidate will assist to manage the commercial and operational, and financial requirements of a project. Ensure that all contractual requirements are met in terms of achieving deadlines and completing projects on time, withi n budget. Ensure all the necessary notifications, supporting documents/ records are submitted for contractual claims, compliant with contracts. Monthly measurements of completed and approved works; and compilation of payment certificates with the QS, contractual claims/ variations, etc

B Degree in Civil Engineering
Professionally registered
SANRAL experience will be advantageous
Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction management of Road related projects.
Must be able to demonstrate a decent understanding of a Construction management role
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
A valid Driver's Licence and own reliable transport
South African citizen
Extensive knowledge of construction, production, team and budget management, cash flow forecasts, programming and planning.
Proficient with construction management (control and monitoring) tools, CCS and BuildSmart, MS Project, MS Office, etc. and construction regulations.
Demonstrable experience in the management of local community and specialized Subcontractors.
Manage suppliers in terms of quality, quantity and timeous deliveries.
Responsible for contract allowable management in conjunction with allocated quantity surveyors.
Manage quality plans and systems in conjunction with supporting staff.
Sound knowledge of construction contracts such as Fidic, GCC, NEC and JBCC.
Sound knowledge of project standards like COLTO, COTO, and SANS
Strong administrative skills to ensure company systems and processes are implemented.
Strong ability to compile and manage monthly certificates, cash flow forecasts and WIP values, in accordance with allowables.
Conversant in preparing monthly progress reports.

- Motivate and manage the construction team, define and monitor achievement of production targets, whilst ensuring SHEQ compliance.
- Responsible for notices, permits and authorisations during construction.
- Monthly internal and external project reporting.
- Manage and mitigate project risks.
- Site administration according to company requirements.
- Record keeping and document control.
- Develop and update applicable forecasts such as cash flow, plant, and human resources.
- Responsible for ensuring construction allowables are achieved and weekly reporting thereof.
- Participate and prepare relevant cost detail for monthly cost meetings.
