Your day at NTT DATA
The Global Compensation Lead will lead the development and execution of our global total rewards programs and processes. This role is central to ensuring our compensation strategies are globally scalable, locally adaptable, and fully aligned with our enterprise-wide guidelines, compensation principles, and business timelines.
As a key member of our Global Compensation team, you will partner closely with business/regional and country-level Total Rewards professionals and People & Culture business partners to deliver compensation programs that are not only effective and compliant, but also designed to attract, retain, and motivate top talent—all while operating within our global framework and guiding principles.
You will also be responsible for tracking and managing the total cost of compensation programs globally, ensuring the financial sustainability of our reward strategies. What You'll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of global compensation processes, including annual salary planning, incentive planning, LTIP Planning benchmarking, pay governance, job architecture, and global pay programs.
- Ensure compensation solutions are scalable across regions, aligned with global strategies, and adaptable to local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with regional and country Total Rewards leaders with their People & Culture business partners to co-create compensation solutions that balance global consistency with local relevance and business needs.
- Actively track and manage compensation-related costs globally, ensuring programs are cost-effective and aligned with budget expectations.
- Develop scalable, globally aligned compensation strategies that support the business in attracting, retaining, and motivating talent, while adhering to our compensation guiding principles.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to simplify compensation practices and enhance the manager and employee experience.
- Support enterprise-wide transformation by ensuring consistent compensation frameworks post-M&A, helping unify legacy organizations under a common structure.
- Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly communications, training materials, and documentation to support effective program understanding and adoption.
- Monitor global market trends, pay equity practices, and regulatory changes to inform program design and enhancements.
- Craft market intelligence and insights that equip the Total Rewards Partners and People & Culture Business Partners with global as well as local trends and competitor practices
- Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, and other partners to ensure systems and processes enable accurate, timely, and efficient program delivery.
- Champion operational excellence, data integrity, and governance across all compensation activities globally.
- 7+ years of experience in global compensation, including managing and executing compensation programs in complex, international environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in tracking and managing compensation program costs and aligning rewards strategy with financial goals.
- Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, compliance requirements, and evolving market trends.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with operational rigor and strong stakeholder collaboration.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and concepts into actionable insights for business leaders.
- Proficiency with compensation tools and platforms (e.g. HRIS).

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Functional Consultant – SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to lead the implementation and optimization of global and local compensation processes within the SAP SuccessFactors suite. As part of a broader HR transformation program, the role will ensure compensation system design aligns with business strategy, HR policies, and operational requirements, while providing hands-on configuration expertise and functional leadership across all project phase
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module.
- Deliver end-to-end consulting across core compensation functions, including:
- Compensation Planning
- Bonus and Incentive Plans
- Eligibility Rules
- Compensation Guidelines and Cycles
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to align system design with compensation policies and global HR strategies.
- Configure compensation templates, business rules, budgets, and workflow approvals.
- Integrate Compensation with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and relevant downstream HR systems.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation, including business requirement documents, configuration specs, and test scripts.
- Support unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training delivery to end users and HR teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation through regular Delta certifications and product updates.
- Advise on best practices for compensation planning in multi-country and compliance-driven environments.
- Provide input and solution design recommendations related to Variable Pay, where applicable.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Functional Consultant.
- Successfully delivered at least 4 full-cycle SAP SuccessFactors Compensation implementations.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with:
- Compensation Planning and Bonus Structures
- Eligibility Rules and Budget Guidelines
- Templates, business rules, and workflows
- Strong understanding of compensation cycle management and HR business alignment.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into scalable configuration solutions.
- Skilled in functional documentation, test support, and user training.
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
- Must also hold the latest Delta Certification to reflect knowledge of current releases and features.
- Exposure to Variable Pay configuration and process integration.
- Experience working in global enterprise environments with diverse regulatory and compensation frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage across business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence.

What you'll be doing
The Executive Compensation Lead will be responsible for support & execution of executive compensation programs across NTT DATA Inc. This role requires a deep understanding of executive compensation practices and market trends to ensure competitive and equitable compensation packages for senior executives. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and managing Short-Term Incentive (STI) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) plans, aimed at effectively motivating and retaining top executive talent. Additionally, the candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and confident in presenting proposals to senior leaders to secure alignment before they are presented by the senior leadership to the NTT Data Group or other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Design & Strategy
- Provide data needed to design and implement executive compensation programs that align with business strategy, drive performance, and support talent objectives.
- Conduct executive benchmarking and pay-for-performance analyses using external data sources (e.g., Radford, Mercer, etc.) to inform program design and ensure competitiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and approve compensation plans.
- Evaluate executive job levels, titles, and compensation to ensure internal equity and market alignment.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Ensure alignment of the HR systems with prevailing policies.
Payroll Administration
- Manage the payroll administration of the SACAA to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
- Ensure integrity of payroll system.
- Maintain an HR information system to inform data intelligence services needed to facilitate decision making.
- Develop metrics for analysing data for purposes of producing statistical reports.
- Conduct monthly data quality assurance on payroll system such as recording leave captured in the system, updating organisational structure information etc and audits against Corporate HR reports.
- Ensure that an accurate statistical database of employees is maintained and available at all times.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Develop, implement and manage legal compliance, remuneration and benefits processes, systems, procedures and practices of the SACAA.
- Accountable for policy and benefit management and related education across the organisation.
- Undertaking benchmarking exercises and assignments in remuneration and benefits management practices, job evaluation and salary reviews.
- Develop and evolve the organisation's pay scale and structure.
- Conduct benchmarks of Pay Scales in the market when necessary and make recommendations to the Executive HR.
- Ensure that the organisation's pay scale complies with relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee the distribution of pay to employees.
- Ensure employees are paid in line with the SACAA policies.
Client Liaison
- Provide the SACAA management and staff with the necessary assistance and advice regarding HR matters.
- Liaise with external clients.
People Management
- Ensure the appointment and retention of competent direct reports.
- Manage key performance areas of subordinates to ensure achievement of individual and Divisional objectives.
- Ensure the appointment and retention of competent reporting staff and the management of their key performance areas to achieve divisional objectives.
- Mentor, coach and develop staff.
- Motivate staff to achieve individual, Divisional and organisational goals.
Human Resources Records Management
- Oversee Human Resources records management.
- Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure employee and payroll data integrity.
Management of Reports
- Compiles monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc reports.
- Partner with managers to help develop promotion and retention strategies for existing employees.
- Develop a departmental budget and keep operations within that budget.
- Oversee reports produced by compensation and payroll support team.
Education
- Minimum
Relevant Bachelor's degree (HR or Finance or related field) or equivalent
- Ideal
Relevant NQF level 8 equivalent
Experience
- Minimum
7 years' payroll and employee benefits exposure plus
5 years' management experience
- Ideal
7 years' management experience in employee benefits
Good understanding of payroll systems

**What you'll be doing**
The Executive Compensation Lead will be responsible for support & execution of executive compensation programs across NTT DATA Inc. This role requires a deep understanding of executive compensation practices and market trends to ensure competitive and equitable compensation packages for senior executives. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and managing Short-Term Incentive (STI) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) plans, aimed at effectively motivating and retaining top executive talent. Additionally, the candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and confident in presenting proposals to senior leaders to secure alignment before they are presented by the senior leadership to the NTT Data Group or other stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Program Design & Strategy
+ Provide data needed to design and implement executive compensation programs that align with business strategy, drive performance, and support talent objectives.
+ Conduct executive benchmarking and pay-for-performance analyses using external data sources (e.g., Radford, Mercer, etc.) to inform program design and ensure competitiveness.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to design and approve compensation plans.
+ Evaluate executive job levels, titles, and compensation to ensure internal equity and market alignment.
+ Leadership Communications & Buy-In
+ Create and have the ability to present clear, data-driven materials to senior leadership that support decision-making and drive alignment on executive compensation proposals.
+ Draft talking points, executive summaries, and FAQs to use in conversations with executives.
+ Translate complex compensation topics into clear, business-oriented language that enables informed discussion and buy-in.
+ Support the development of any relevant materials and related tables, charts and exhibits.
+ Manage executive compensation-related communications and disclosures.
+ Governance & Compliance
+ Manage governance in support of executive compensation
+ Prepare high-quality materials and documentation for approval meetings.
+ Maintain strict compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and governance best practices.
+ Executive Data & Record Management
+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of executive employment terms, compensation arrangements, and contracts.
+ Create and manage executive summaries of employment terms and changes for internal reference and compliance tracking.
+ Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance to ensure accurate and secure management of sensitive executive data.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Serve as a key point of contact for executive compensation matters, working closely with People & Culture Business Partners, Legal, Finance, and others.

**Experience, Qualifications & Skills:**
+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
