What the job involves
  • Leading and executing the brand strategy for a dynamic sports betting brand across African and European markets

  14. Manage the Trade launch phase and conduct post-launch evaluation of changed products.
  15. Develop marketing support campaigns for the launch of new products, line extensions, packaging changes, etc.
  16. Develop an understanding of the industrial processes related to the product portfolio.
  17. Ensure that comprehensive U&A research studies are done regularly on brands in the portfolio.
  18. Analyse and interpret research results to apply insights and learnings to improve product performance in the future.
  19. Commission annual brand health studies to ensure the brand remains relevant for the target market.
  20. Evaluate market volume / value growth trends and market shares for relevant product categories in the portfolio through Nielsen reports.
  21. Evaluate data, marketing, and competitor information from various sources like trade visits, research info, and publications, including sales performance, promotion performance, and market analysis.
  22. Plan and control marketing expenditure of the product portfolio within the budget.
  23. Develop briefs for suppliers, evaluate quotes of different suppliers.
  24. Verify invoices and create purchase orders for approval.
  25. Monitor and process marketing-related expenses.
  26. Control and report on actual monthly and YTD marketing expenditure vs budget via the Marketing tracker tool.
  27. Ensure marketing expenditure administration is executed according to Auditors' and Procurement's process requirements.
  28. Analyse sales volumes (daily) and profitability performance of the product portfolio by SKU, Region, Channel.
  29. Make recommendations based on sales analysis and implement a 360-degree action plan with Sales / KA / Planning / Distribution.
  30. Identify and initiate sales issues / problem areas in conjunction with Sales, Key Accounts, etc.
  31. Coordinate the commercial activities with Sales, Production, Commercial, and Distribution of the relevant product categories.
  32. Assist Demand Planning with volume projections based on planned brand activities / inputs from Key Accounts / Trade Marketing.
  33. Manage Staff (Where Applicable).
  34. Ensure optimal utilisation of staff.
  35. Apply consistent discipline.
  36. Train and develop staff.
  37. Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all.
  38. Liaise and communicate with management in all departments.
  39. Set objectives and manage and measure the performance of subordinates.

**The Opportunity**
Join our dynamic team as a **Senior Product Manager** in the **English Africa Cluster (EAC)** . You will lead the development and execution of brand strategies, marketing plans, and digital campaigns across both **OTC and Prescription (Rx)** portfolios. This is a high-impact role where your strategic thinking, digital acumen, and pharmaceutical expertise will shape the future of healthcare in the region.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and execute brand plans, sales forecasts, and promotional strategies.
+ Lead cross-functional brand teams and manage external agencies.
+ Champion digital marketing initiatives and regional campaign rollouts.
+ Drive product performance through innovative doctor, pharmacy, and hospital promotions.
+ Analyze market trends and sales data to inform strategy.
+ Collaborate with third-party manufacturers and partners to meet business goals.
**What We're Looking For**
+ **Minimum 4 years** of product management experience in the **pharmaceutical industry** .
+ **3-5 years** of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
+ **Proven experience in both OTC and Prescription (Rx)** product management.
+ Strong background in **brand planning, product launches** , and **multichannel marketing** .
+ Experience with **generic brands** and managing multiple brands simultaneously.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
+ Proficiency in tools like **Excel, PowerPoint** , and market data platforms (e.g., IMS, Impact Rx).
**Education & Qualifications**
+ Tertiary qualification in **Health Sciences and/or Business Sciences** (essential).

Job description:
  • Manage the dealer network in Africa.
  • Provide reports and analysis relevant to the sales activity for the region.
  • Manage order process including order planning between dealer network and OEM's.
  • Manage the pricing function, in collaboration with the marketing and finance departments.
  • Participate in the budget process relating to the sales function and target setting.
  • Ensure alignment of the marketing function and the sales.
  • Ensure sales training is in place for region as per training plan.
  • Regular dealer visits in-country.
  • Conduct dealership audits.
  • Review of the dealership's sales performance vs. targets.
  • Review and analyse market share and performance vs competitors.
  • Check dealer debtors and ensure process/limitations are being followed.
  • Ensure company policies/processes are being followed within the dealership.
  • Action plans for improvement of sales volumes.
  • Ensure correct model mix.
  • Check ageing stock and ensure actions plans are in place.
  • Ensure staff training has been followed by the dealer.
Package & Remuneration

R420 000 - R500 000 - Annually plus Medical Aid, Pension and Incentives.
