• Form part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

• Manage the full accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
• Prepare management accounts and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and group reporting requirements
• Oversee cash flow, creditors, and debtors
• Partner with operations to provide financial insight that drives performance

• Prepare and process month-end journals and ensure accurate monthly closings
• Compile and analyse balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide financial insights to support operational efficiency

• Completed BCom Degree in Accounting (non-negotiable)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a financial accounting role
• Solid understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet recons

• Manage the full accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, and month-end reporting

Key outputs

• Assist the mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and/or components
• Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the mechanic/technician has them within reach
• Physically lift, keep in place and/or move up to 20kg or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for objects larger in size
• Clean and maintain facilities and equipment
• Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for jobs
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace

Qualification, Experience And Competencies

• Grade 12
• Relevant previous work experience advantageous
• Ability to obtain certification as forklift operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to obtain certification as overhead/jib crane operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to follow instructions under supervision
• Drivers licence – Code B will be an added advantage

Responsible for all planning, coordinating and controlling repair, service and maintenance jobs for a team of Service Artisans to comply with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) e.g. Caterpillar, Perkins etc. standards and customer requirements

Key Outputs
Planning, Scheduling, and monitoring job progress and work in progress (WIP) by using an appropriate planning system

Planning cost elements on service jobs (Labour, Parts and Bought outs)

Achievement of maximum productivity and profitability

Apply warranty policies and procedures, including service warranty

Issuing job instructions to and dispatching of artisans (briefing)

Initiation and control of Bought Out requests

Follow up on parts, quotes and service reports

Assist with achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

Assist with effective control of cost centre expenses and Work-in-Progress

Apply Warranty policies and procedures, including Warranty decisions and Service Warranty investigations.

Resolve internal and external customer queries

Qualification, Experience And Competencies
Grade 12

Trade certificate (Diesel or Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic) advantageous

Minimum 3 Years Relevant Experience
Computer Literacy (MS Office, SIS, STW / ET, CAT inspect. )

SAP knowledge advantageous

Good communication skills and customer relations,

Must be a Team player and be willing to work overtime

Problem Solving Skills and Technical Competence, Rule orientation and Mechanical Reasoning

Verbal and written communication skills

Understanding the service work order process, Attention to detail, Teamwork
