Job Description:
Copper 360 Ltd is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to be based at our operations in Nababeep in the Northern Cape Province.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to elevate your career as a financial leader in a listed group. Supporting the operations, the Financial Manager is responsible to manage the Finance team and the financial processes of the Company’s operations in Nababeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Review monthly financial results with Operational Management.
- Present weekly Financial-Operational report.
- Prepare annual consolidation pack.
Budgets
- Manage annual budget process.
- Ensure forecasts are updated.
- Present Capex budgets and project budget reports.
Cash Flow
- Prepare cash flow forecasts; manage cash flows of the group.
- Review payments and approve EFTs.
General Ledger and Sub Ledger Integrity
- Ensure GL accounts, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable are reconciled monthly.
Inventory
- Schedule quarterly stock count and review results.
- Ensure critical stock levels are managed, calculate optimised stock holding.
- Ensure standard cost calculations are maintained.
Internal Controls
- Ensure proper design and functioning of internal controls.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are recorded, and staff trained accordingly.
Other
- Manage finance team and their functions.
- Compile annual insurance declaration.
- Other ad-hoc financial related tasks.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered with SAICA as CA(SA) or CIMA as ACMA(CGMA).
- Minimum 8 years post articles in similar environment (listed environment beneficial).
- Previous experience in mining (essential), manufacturing and/or FMCG companies.
Knowledge and Skills required:
- IFRS Accounting Standards experience.
- South African income tax and VAT.
- Sage Intacct or other ERP.
- MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Honest and straight forward in all dealings.
- Sound communication skills and able to work in a team.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
