Minimum requirements: Matric Proficient in MS Office, ERP system experience preferred 6 Years experience managing warehouse environment preferably in the FMCG industry Experience managing inventory with stock Professional verbal and written communication skills Responsibilities: Receiving and Despatch: Manage receiving of cartons and despatch via courier or customer collection Oversee daily picking, packing, and dispatch operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time Stock Management: Unpack and shelve stock following deliveries Conduct rolling stock counts and assist with full stock takes Maintain control over returns, credit notes, swaps, and stock adjustments Managing inventory valued at approximately R4 million in a 500 sqm warehouse Facility and Team Oversight: Maintain general housekeeping and organisation of the warehouse Oversee facility maintenance and up keep Manage and supervise warehouse staff as the team expands Consultant: ILLCA BASSON - Dante Personnel Johannesburg

IntroductionWe are looking to recruit a permanent Warehouse Supervisor for the Inventory department to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the UPD Cape Port Elizabeth branch and will report to the Branch Manager.
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for the effective and accurate management and control of inventory within the warehouse ensuring good Wholesale & Distribution Practice is applied.
- Adherence to compliance, SOP's and company policies (SHEQ, QA)
- Productivity management - Capacity management, order processing cycle time, manning utilization, unplanned downtime
- Equipment up-time and maintenance - Asset inspections and reports are performed as required
- Reporting on daily performance and Order status
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly management reports
- Attainment of daily operational targets
- Order processing within required turnaround times (Transfers and sales orders)
- Conduct and supervise cycle counting and bin check process
- Return stock to vendor / claims generated by operations
- Management of quality and output levels
- Performance management of staff, staff training and discipline
- Set targets and deadlines for direct reports
- Assistance of stock counts within PDC Wholesale and Distribution
- Control and resolution of order disputes / claims internally and externally
- Manage staff compliment for overtime when required
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)
- 3 - 5 years experience in a Pharmaceutical/ Distribution & Wholesale/ FMCG/ Supply Chain & Logistic environment (Essential)
- 2 years experience in dealing with supplier returns, with keen understanding of supplier policies and also proven experience in the inventory department
- 1-2 years supervisory/people management experience
- SAP and KNAPP experience will be advantageous
- WMS/ERP systems knowledge
- Computer skills on MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Product knowledge
- Financial understanding - budget
- Communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong planning and coordinating skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work under pressure / time deadlines
- Honesty and integrity
- Ability to work on excel reports and drive efficiencies
