We are looking for experienced TL's to join our team based in Claremont.
This role lead a team of associates in a customer centric and high-performance culture through effective management of people, metrics and projects, with the objective of generating revenue and the retention of business, through continuous improvement.

They are seeking an experienced Foremen to oversee the end-to-end operations on fibre installation and telecoms infrastructure projects across Gauteng and the Western Cape.
Job Description
You will:
Oversee full site management and supervision on fibre and telecoms projects
Ensure health & safety compliance on all active job sites
Manage quality control , perform site inspections , and handle client handovers
Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors , and internal teams
Track project progress and report any issues or delays to senior management
Maintain accurate site documentation, reports, and job cards
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Lead, mentor, and train junior technicians and site staff
Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and travel as needed
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12) essential
Technical diploma or certificate in Telecommunications, Electronic Security, or IT Infrastructure advantageous
Valid drivers license & own transport essential
Skills
Hands-on experience with:
Fibre optic installation, splicing, and testing
IP & analogue CCTV systems
Server room setup (racking, cable management, power, cooling)
Access control and alarm systems (advantageous)
Experience managing teams and multiple active job sites
- Strong understanding of structured cabling and network infrastructure
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and site layouts
- Familiar with health & safety protocols and quality assurance standards
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with OTDR , light source & power meters , and basic test equipment
- Experience using job card or site management tools (advantageous)

Responsibilities
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Ensure effective inventory controls are kept of networking equipment
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Ensure that all equipment is fully functional and update documentation as required.

- Escalate any issues that cannot or are not resolved timeously to 3rd line support/vendor and follow up with them on the progress and resolution of these issues.
- Ensure that all issues resolved are well documented and if required update both the 1st line and 3rd line support structures and the standard procedures manual.
- Support Network team with support functionality and training of users on VOIP phones system.
Requirements
- Tertiary or related IT qualification (advantageous) N+ / A+
- Preference will be given to candidates with five-plus years network experience
- In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, SD-WAN, Access Points, routers and routing.
- A good understanding of computer hardware and terminology
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize issues
- A self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage the demands of a pressurized work environment
