This is a key role in providing essential service plans to our customers and their sites, reacting to various technical faults and planned maintenance of our products.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be part of a National team of Field Service Engineers providing prompt and effective service to resolve customer issues as they arise.

In this role, you will identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in the field, carry out mechanical and electrical installations of actuators, and perform retrofit adaptation of components, pedestals, and drive shafts. You will also complete accurate and technical site visit reports for each job.

This role suits a determined problem-solver who can think logically for troubleshooting issues and is willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Experience Requirements :

• Technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators, and digital control systems.
• Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical, and fluid power theories.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and utilize common test and calibration tools.
• Experience working in a practical engineering environment.

• Demonstrates the ability to work in stressful situations with difficult clients focused on rapid resolution.

About the Role

Are you a seasoned technician with a strong electrical background and a passion for fieldwork? We’re looking for a Field Service Technician to join a dynamic team supporting cutting-edge mill relining technologies across South Africa and beyond.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, commissioning, maintenance, and monitoring of advanced equipment at mining sites. You’ll also play a key role in training site personnel, supporting spare parts sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical excellence and proactive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and commission advanced mill relining systems and associated technologies.
• Perform on-site repairs, maintenance, and training at mining operations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment in the field.
• Support spare parts sales and coordinate logistics with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate service records, timesheets, and expense reports.

What We’re Looking For
