Who’s who in the tech space
This position reports to the QA Engineering Director.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Lead a team of QA Analysts and QA Automation Engineers.
- Contribute to the Community of Practice for QA in engineering.
- Drive recruitment for the QA team.
- Raise development quality by developing processes and best practices for testing in dev teams, in collaboration with the developers and managers.
- Improve and automate test strategies.
- Ensure that the team continues to develop and execute test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data when required.
- Design, develop, maintain and execute automation scripts.
- Design, maintain and implement automation framework with continuous integration covering UI, API and integration tests.
- Identify testing deficiencies and subsequently implement automated tests based on their requirements.
- Ensure that the team continues to identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Ensure that the team continues to perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Increase code coverage across the team’s technology stack.
- Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate these to team leaders including any impact on the overall project plan.
- Mentoring and guiding the test team and developers on test approaches and automation suites.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of Software QA experience in a software/technology environment is required, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
- In the event that a candidate does not have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Diploma (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 8 years of Software QA management experience in a software/technology environment, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
- Experience managing testing throughout the SDLC (development testing, unit testing, API testing, performance testing, system testing etc.).
- Strong experience with Python, Java and/or other programming languages.
- Experience with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration applications will be an advantage.
- Understanding of configuration management and version control.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience testing and administering in Linux and other Unix environments.
- Experience with unit test frameworks.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing will be an advantage.
- Experience with selenium, appium.
- Experience with Robot Framework will be an advantage.
- Flexibility to learn new technologies and explore new tools.
- Understanding of configuration management and version control.
- Experience in installing, upgrading, configuring and verifying (smoke tests) virtualized testing environments (VMs).

Summary
This role is responsible for managing inbound customer communication primarily through Respond.io, including WhatsApp Business, web chat, and social channels. The role involves direct customer service, order quoting, sales follow-ups, and maintaining strong digital communication standards. Occasional support will also be provided to the Takealot and Amazon sales platforms, ensuring flexibility and teamwork across the Online Sales Department.

Responsibilities- Customer Communication - Respond.io
- Manage all inbound messages via WhatsApp, website chat, and social platforms using Respond.io.
- Respond to clients professionally, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's brand voice.
- Issue quotes, images, product links, voice notes, and invoices directly through chat when required.
- Follow up with clients who have not completed their purchases.
- Record and tag all interactions accurately for reporting purposes.
- Escalate complex or unresolved queries to relevant departments.
- Ensure no chat or customer lead is left unattended.
- Create and send quotes and invoices based on Respond.io conversations.
- Organize delivery or courier once sales are confirmed.
- Provide tracking details, tax invoices, and post-sale confirmations.
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Assist the Online Sales Supervisor with sales data, follow-up lists, or sales reports.
- Assist with basic Takealot and Amazon operations when required.
- Help with stock listings, order processing, and return coordination during peak or leave periods.
- Monitor and assist with support tickets on these platforms when delegated.
- Respond to sales leads via email, phone, WhatsApp, and Respond.io professionally.
- Log all orders and quotes accurately.
- Assist team members with admin or sales overflow when required.
- Participate in team meetings, updates, and training sessions.
- Maintain clear records and accurate documentation of all customer interactions.
- At least 1-2 years' experience in customer service or online sales support.
- Experience with Respond.io or similar CRM/chat management platforms.
- Exposure to Takealot, Amazon, or e-commerce backends is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of catering/hospitality equipment is a plus but not essential.

Our client is a leading South African meat wholesaler supplying meat and other food products to sectors of the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industries. They are looking for an Online Management Systems and Sales Administrator to join their Cape Town team.
Job Description / PurposeSupport and manage purchasing, product loading, pricing accuracy, supplier coordination, and system integrity across our Cape Town and Johannesburg branches.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, online systems (such as OMS, Meat Matrix, and Pastel), and be able to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities- Manage OMS for both Cape Town and Johannesburg branches
- Create and process purchase orders (POs)
- Load and maintain products on Pastel, Meat Matrix, and OMS
- Oversee and ensure product and pricing accuracy on all systems
- Create and prepare product price lists
- Load new products with accurate cost and selling prices
- Handle PO and stock-related queries efficiently
- Receive and verify all PO documentation (goods, services, equipment, supplies)
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and product queries
