Who’s who in the tech space
This position reports to the QA Engineering Director.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Lead a team of QA Analysts and QA Automation Engineers.
- Contribute to the Community of Practice for QA in engineering.
- Drive recruitment for the QA team.
- Raise development quality by developing processes and best practices for testing in dev teams, in collaboration with the developers and managers.
- Improve and automate test strategies.
- Ensure that the team continues to develop and execute test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data when required.
- Design, develop, maintain and execute automation scripts.
- Design, maintain and implement automation framework with continuous integration covering UI, API and integration tests.
- Identify testing deficiencies and subsequently implement automated tests based on their requirements.
- Ensure that the team continues to identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Ensure that the team continues to perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Increase code coverage across the team’s technology stack.
- Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate these to team leaders including any impact on the overall project plan.
- Mentoring and guiding the test team and developers on test approaches and automation suites.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of Software QA experience in a software/technology environment is required, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
- In the event that a candidate does not have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Diploma (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 8 years of Software QA management experience in a software/technology environment, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
- Experience managing testing throughout the SDLC (development testing, unit testing, API testing, performance testing, system testing etc.).
- Strong experience with Python, Java and/or other programming languages.
- Experience with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration applications will be an advantage.
- Understanding of configuration management and version control.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience testing and administering in Linux and other Unix environments.
- Experience with unit test frameworks.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing will be an advantage.
- Experience with selenium, appium.
- Experience with Robot Framework will be an advantage.
- Flexibility to learn new technologies and explore new tools.
- Understanding of configuration management and version control.
- Experience in installing, upgrading, configuring and verifying (smoke tests) virtualized testing environments (VMs).

Responsibilities- Customer Communication – Respond.io
- Manage all inbound messages via WhatsApp, website chat, and social platforms using Respond.io.
- Respond to clients professionally, efficiently, and in alignment with the company’s brand voice.
- Issue quotes, images, product links, voice notes, and invoices directly through chat when required.
- Follow up with clients who have not completed their purchases.
- Record and tag all interactions accurately for reporting purposes.
- Escalate complex or unresolved queries to relevant departments.
- Ensure no chat or customer lead is left unattended.

- Organize delivery or courier once sales are confirmed.
