Duties and responsibilities
Job brief
As an experienced manager/ supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our store, ensuring the smooth running of operations to maximize the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in retail management, a deep understanding of excellent customer service, and the ability to motivate personnel to perform at their best.
Manager responsibilities:
- Organising and overseeing all store operations.
- Cash-up, banking, and daily retail admin.
- Staff scheduling and shift management.
- Leading and supervising a dedicated retail team.
- Training and guiding staff members to achieve maximum performance.
- Preparation and effective control of the store's budget, focusing on cost-efficiency.
- Efficient stock management and monitoring of stock levels.
- Maintaining and delivering excellent customer service in a faith-aligned environment
- Addressing and resolving customer complaints to uphold exceptional customer service.
- Handling and resolving any issues that may arise within the store.
- Planning and overseeing in-store promotions and merchandising.
- Staying updated on market trends to identify opportunities for store improvements.
- Ensuring the store complies with all legal health and safety guidelines.
- Providing regular feedback and reporting to higher management.
- Upholding brand values (e.g. kindness, integrity, excellence).
Supervisor responsibilities:
- Admin
- Housekeeping
- Sales and customer service
- Assist staff on the shop floor.
- To be equipped with suitable levels of product knowledge
- Manage stock levels in collaboration with manager and assistant manager
- Take responsibility for the shop floor, overseeing daily duties and daily requirements from staff.

- Ensure global payment procedures and payments processes are adhered to
- Supervise the team, providing guidance, training, and performance management
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
- Manage disputes
- Work closely with the Manager to assist with process improvements and proactively make suggestions
- Responsible for trade creditors reconciliation and supplier statement reconciliations
- Promote process improvements and compliance across the team
- Monitor systems and processes
- Own delivery of transactional services
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including regular performance reporting
- Degree in finance or accounting
- 4 to 5 years in a supervisory creditors / accounts payable role is essential
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Strong working knowledge of complex multi-currency consolidations
- Proficient in MS packages
- Strong experience of leading process changes and improvements
- Systems implementations experience
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
