Job Description

Vacancies exist for a Production Supervisor at Hudson Rubber, a very diverse company regarding markets and products. The company is looking for individuals with a proven track record in a high growth, fast-moving and demanding environment. An individual with an ambition to grow within the business to the next level in a relatively short period of time.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for the production of rubber components. This position is a working Supervisor who will be working side by side with their crew.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Plans and directs plant operations.
  2. Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
  3. Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.
  4. Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
  5. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  6. Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Required Skills And Qualifications
  • A tertiary engineering qualification such as industrial or mechanical and/or a qualified artisan in mechanical trade – Fitter, toolmaker etc.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of production supervision experience in a FMCG environment or similar.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
  • Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification Completion of SAIPA .
  • Proven experience as an auditor, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices.
  • Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities .
  • Excellent communication skills .
