Vacancies exist for a Production Supervisor at Hudson Rubber, a very diverse company regarding markets and products. The company is looking for individuals with a proven track record in a high growth, fast-moving and demanding environment. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for the production of rubber components. This position is a working Supervisor who will be working side by side with their crew.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plans and directs plant operations.
- Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.
- Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- A tertiary engineering qualification such as industrial or mechanical and/or a qualified artisan in mechanical trade – Fitter, toolmaker etc.
- At least 3 to 5 years of production supervision experience in a FMCG environment or similar.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.

- Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities .
