Introduction

To prepare the deli food and to service deli customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare rotisserie chicken and other take away foods.
  2. Ensure that the counter is stocked and has visually appealing displays.
  3. Ensure stock rotation disciplines are adhered to.
  4. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  5. Maintain and complete all documentation i.e. temperature recording, probe and scale calibration.
  6. Use product knowledge to suggest buying options.
  7. Ensure that waste is identified and removed.
Qualifications and Technical Knowledge and Skills
  1. Grade 12 or equivalent NQF would be advantageous.
  2. Exceptional hygiene skills.
  3. Experience as a deli assistant or working for a catering company or equivalent (foods handling environment) is beneficial.
  4. Proficient in English.
