IntroductionTo prepare the deli food and to service deli customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare rotisserie chicken and other take away foods.
- Ensure that the counter is stocked and has visually appealing displays.
- Ensure stock rotation disciplines are adhered to.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain and complete all documentation i.e. temperature recording, probe and scale calibration.
- Use product knowledge to suggest buying options.
- Ensure that waste is identified and removed.
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF would be advantageous.
- Exceptional hygiene skills.
- Experience as a deli assistant or working for a catering company or equivalent (foods handling environment) is beneficial.
