Position Overview:
As a Senior Online Marketing Executive specialising in Content Optimisation, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s businesses by creating and optimising digital content for SEO growth.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the Digital Leads and Businesses to have a strong monthly blog strategy and ensure internal and external content is delivered in a timely manner, aligning with strong SEO-related content and the respective tones of voice for each brand.
Secondary to this is ensuring new on-page content is improved from Content Audits conducted by our technical audit team.
Working closely to support the digital leads to ensure new content created on-page is correct, makes sense, and improves SEO visibility for the websites. As an experienced digital content writer, you will be adept at understanding briefs, conducting research, and incorporating SEO best practices.
This role is integral to the expansion of our digital marketing content growth strategy for 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Optimisation:
- Develop a content plan strategy with the Digital leads for each business.
- Write engaging and informative blog briefs for externally written blogs for multiple client businesses, and create additional briefs for internally written blogs.
- Ensure that the new content is optimised for search engines and adheres to best practices in SEO.
- Support Digital Leads to perform keyword research and analysis to incorporate relevant keywords into the content.
- Adapt your writing style and tone of voice to match the requirements of each business.
- WordPress Management:
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in WordPress, including content creation, formatting, and publishing.
- Upload and manage blog content, ensuring proper categorisation, tagging, and metadata optimisation for SEO.
- Collaborate with the web development team to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Project Management and Campaign Briefs:
- Prioritise and schedule content creation tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Landing Page Content for Nurture Journeys:

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Communications, Media
- Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in social media and digital marketing, preferably in a
- premium, design-led or lifestyle brand environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest,
- TikTok, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Work with our copy editor to create compelling captions and social copy aligned to our
- tone of voice.
- Collaborate with designers, stylists, and photographers to create visually engaging
- Community management: respond to comments, messages and DMs; grow and engage
- our online audience.
- Manage and optimise paid digital campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Google.
- Brief, coordinate and review work with the external digital marketing agency.
- Analyse performance data across paid and organic efforts; generate monthly reports
- and apply learnings.
- Identify and manage influencer partnerships and brand collaborations.
- Stay on top of social, digital and e-commerce trends.
Advantageous:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content best practices.
- Experience in both organic social media and paid digital advertising (Meta and Google Ads).
- Honors degree in Marketing, Brand Management, or Strategic Communication.
- Knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing performance metrics.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Google Ads Certification (Search or Display)
- Meta (Facebook) Certified Digital Marketing Associate or Media Buying Professional
- Google Analytics Certification
- Digital Marketing Certificate from reputable organization
- Short courses in copywriting, content creation, or visual communication
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and social scheduling

- Strong copywriting and visual communication abilities
- Basic design or layout skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) will be an advantage

Our Cape Town Marketing department is looking to add a highly motivated and creative Social Media Coordinator to join us.
