About the role
The successful pre-sales engineer will be responsible for interacting with potential clients to determine their needs and explain the value of their company’s products or services. The successful pre-sales engineer may also be tasked with creating presentations, writing proposals, and other activities that help seal the deal.
The successful pre-sales engineer must have strong communication skills and an understanding of technical concepts. The pre-sales engineer must be able to clearly explain complex ideas in a way that everyday people can understand them.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the pre-sales technical support of electricity products
2. Responsible for the pre-sales technical support of solutions under the guidance from Headquarter.
3. The pre-sales technical support includes but is not limited to: product introduction and demonstration, solution introduction, solution demonstration, client technical support, customer complaint handling, etc.
4. Be able to correctly understand customer’s requirement and respond customer with company’s existing product or solution to reduce customization;
5. Be able to analyze customer's technical pain points and provide solutions under the guidance of headquarters
6. Delivering presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clients, in-depth knowledge of utility demand, benefit for product planning.
7. Collect on utility’s pain point, maintain account plan’s technical portions
8. Responsible for timely troubleshooting, liaising with HQ to provide better onsite service and maintain credibility
9. Develop job related expertise and communication skills
10. Other matters arranged by superiors
Candidate requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree , Btech, National Diploma or above in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experiences in the metering sector.
• At best, experience in a similar position or metering industrial.
• Computer science.
• Experience in Electrical product manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Language: English as working language (written and spoken)
• Customer service background experience is crucial to the role.
Knowledge and skills required
• Required to have project experience in communication or IT company
• Analytical skills and the ability to recognize the demands on the side of the clients
• Understand IT architecture or database
• Strong Self-motivation and customer service orientation
• Rich experience in project delivery
Client Interaction & Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with Body Corporates,Key Municipal Person(s), Trustees, and Managing Agents in the target market.
• Present the smart metering solutions clearly and confidently, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Sales Execution & New Business Development:
• Proactively pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned market, targeting high-end residential properties.
• Collaborate with sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets, implementing effective strategies aligned with business goals.
Product Support & Troubleshooting:
• Serve as a subject matter expert to support the sales team and help clients understand the benefits of the smart metering solutions.
• Address client concerns and provide hands-on troubleshooting, ensuring smooth and effective product usage.
Product Lifecycle Management:
• Own and drive the product lifecycle for smart metering solutions, working with engineering and sales teams to identify market needs and opportunities.
• Analyse trends and competitor products to ensure that the solutions remain innovative and meet customer demands.
• Background in utility management, SaaS, or IoT products.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-end residential clients.
