Are you a critical thinker with a keen eye for financial detail and risk? Our client in the asset finance space is looking for a Credit Analyst to join their high-performing credit team. This role is crucial to ensuring robust credit approval processes, effective credit management, and insightful financial analysis across both corporate and public sector transactions.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyse creditworthiness of potential and existing clients
  • Prepare detailed financial and credit reports for decision-making
  • Review and assess asset finance transactions in line with group credit policies
  • Support effective credit approval and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Assist with ad hoc credit projects, audits, or strategic reviews
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation for credit processes
  • Proactively manage own performance and contribute to team goals

What You Bring:

  • Relevant Degree in Credit Risk Management or Accounting Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a credit environment (asset finance sector preferred)
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and financial acumen
  • Knowledge of credit policies, collections strategies, and funder requirements
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Industry-specific experience in asset-based lending or public sector finance
  • A solid understanding of internal controls, governance, and audit procedures

About The Role

You’ll be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing risk, and ensuring compliance across asset finance transactions. The role spans both corporate and public sector clients, requiring sound judgment, strategic liaison, and a commitment to delivering first-time approvals.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyse financial and non-financial data to assess credit risk
  • Approve or escalate credit decisions in line with mandate
