Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Representative to drive sales, ensure excellent merchandising, and support retail partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail environments and a strong ability to develop business relationships.
- Conduct regular retail store visits, including all respective chain stores and other retail outlets.
- Ensure stock is displayed correctly, priced accurately, well-stocked, and that merchandising meets high standards.
- Display promotional material where permitted.
- Check and record batch (expiry) dates.
- Identify and document any damaged stock.
- Place orders on behalf of retail partners if they have not done so already.
- Answer retailer queries about product features and unique selling points (USPs).
- Assist retailers in purchase decisions based on sales history and customer behavior.
- Retrieve stock from the sales floor, stockroom, or other inventory locations (if permitted).
- Facilitate special orders, discounts, or promotional stock with management approval.
- Collect outstanding payments when necessary, particularly from small/independent retailers.
- Prepare and submit a Weekly Frozen Pizza Sales Report.
- Prepare and submit a Monthly Sales Summary at the end of each month.
- Actively grow sales and expand the B2B customer database.
- Support marketing efforts by scheduling and booking in-store activations and promotions.
- Attend and assist with the setup of store activations on Friday afternoons and/or Saturday mornings.
- Maintain communication and reporting with the Marketing and Management teams.
- Experience in FMCG
- Strong ability to cold call and pursue new business opportunities.
- Eager to learn and add value to a growing business.
- Willingness to be on the road 80% of the time.
- Excellent administrative and reporting skills.
- Experience in retail environments (e.g., Spar, PnP, President Hyper, Checkers) with merchandising and marketing knowledge.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to assisting retailers and ensuring our products are always available on shelves.
