The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the B2B electronic security industry , a proven track record in sales, and the ability to engage with C-level executives .

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in electronic security or similar industries.
  • Sales experience in the South Africa / Gauteng region
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, from identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals and presentations, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, partners, and industry experts at an executive level.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze market trends, identify customer needs, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and a natural hunter in business development.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitor landscape in the security sector
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the electronic security industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at C-level.
  • Drive B2B sales of security solutions, including intrusion detection, automation, video surveillance, fire protection, and access control systems.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Lead negotiations and closing of high-value deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

The core purpose of this role is to drive Medihelp’s strategic membership growth by leading and managing sales efforts across distribution channels. The Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that engagement, processes, and performance within each channel support growth targets. Requirements

POSITION INFO:

As a well-established international Defence industry company, we are looking for an exceptional Business Development Engineer to further our global footprint and market share. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by increasing client engagement, and developing products and solutions to ensure sustainable long-term growth. You will be at the forefront of the company and will be required to create and apply an effective client engagement strategy. To excel in this role, you should have a drive to pursue and close new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

  • Recent graduates are preferred
  • Market Analysis:
    • Research and analyse market trends to identify and anticipate potential opportunities for growth internationally
    • Contact potential clients to establish a network and arrange meetings (foreign and domestic)
  • High-level Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain high-level relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and challenges in order to provide the best suited solution
    • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry-related events
    • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
  • Solution Development:
    • Work with engineering teams to tailor products or services that meet clients' specifications within various international countries
  • Proposal Development:
    • Create and present proposals that demonstrate the value of the company’s offerings
    • Develop a growth strategy focused both on both company and client satisfaction and financial feasibility
    • Prepare contracts once clients have committed to a product or service, whilst ensuring compliance to law-established rules and guidelines to remain compliant with the relevant legislation
  • Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with marketing, compliance and technical teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution with all projects
  • Project Management:
    • Initiation, project planning, implementation and monitoring until the closure of new projects, from conception to delivery, once the client has been engaged
    • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-project closure support to clients once the product or service has been delivered
  • Be willing to exceed expectations by going the extra mile (depending on workload and international time zones)
  • Experience in project or business management (advantageous)
  • Must be willing to travel internationally (have a valid passport)
  • Having strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Show adequate IT efficiency
  • Own reliable transport
  • Availability: Immediate (advantageous)

    As our newest Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for spearheading the expansion of our equipment sales funnel. Imagine yourself at the forefront of innovation, harnessing the power of outbound and digital resources to drive unprecedented growth. As a vital extension of our Regional Sales teams, you'll be pivotal within our journey to uncover, cultivate, and champion new business opportunities within the HACH Portfolio. Which will help shape the future of our industry as we redefine success together!

    The geographic territory initially covers the Eastern Cape & Northern Cape region, however this is subject to change based on business requirements

    In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like

    In this role, you will:

    • Promote territory growth by identifying potential customers and creating new business opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.
    • Leverage the power of digital resources to qualify, support, and pinpoint potential customers engaging with HACH
    • Manage a robust growth funnel pipeline, setting appointments, nurturing leads, and charting progress towards exceeding sales goals.
    • Prepares and presents monthly forecasts by accurately managing opportunities.

    The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

    • At least 3 years of experience preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry as a business development / sales associate
    • Preferred degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar – however this is not essential
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
    • Teamwork and ability to work across Cultures, Countries, Locations, and business teams
    • Willingness and flexibility to travel long distances and lodge away from home 5-10 nights a month
    • Must have own vehicle with Code B license

    We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to help grow our client base and expand market presence.

    In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with potential clients, and develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with a proven track record in sales or business development and the ability to close deals and drive long-term value.

    Skills and Experience

    What you’ll do:

    • Diversify the customer base by selling products, solutions, and services to existing or new customers.
    • Compile quotations, tenders, and solutions by the required due dates.
    • Assist operations with project execution functions as needed.
    • Follow up on back orders and communicate delays to customers.
    • Provide continuous feedback to the customer regarding order progress.
    • Develop and maintain good customer relationships for future growth.
    • Utilize sales tools such as CRM and ERP systems.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to new or existing customers.
    • Assist customers with vendor registrations or credit applications.
    • Liaise with customers regarding payment terms (e.g., COD).
    • Follow up on technical questions and conduct site or customer visits regularly.
    • Evaluate customer inquiries and assess technical feasibility of projects.
    • Coordinate with engineering departments regarding customer requirements and specifications.
    • Support the development of sales and marketing materials.

    Your expertise:

    • 5 to 10 years of experience related to Automated Metering Reading hardware, software, and services.
    • Technical knowledge of the above technologies and their applications.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
    • Experience in Sub-Saharan African countries is preferred.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric Certificate
    • Electrical Diploma or equivalent
    • B.Eng in Electrical Engineering

    Additional information:

    • Permanent position
    • Work environment includes 5 days at the office and client sites
    • Travel required locally and internationally
