Job Advert Summary To implement and manage effective and efficient recruitment and selection practices in line with established procedures, policies and processes. To professionally represent the NBI employer brand throughout the recruitment and selection process. Duties & Responsibilities Recruitment & Selection Manage and implement the attraction and selection of experienced and graduate (learners, interns & apprentices) hires. Work collaboratively with the People Business Partners to manage and implement the attraction and selection of talent according to approved hiring plans and in line with NBIs employment equity plans. Work proactively and collaboratively with recruiting managers on vacancies to ensure the placement of the suitably qualified incumbents. Implement competency assessments. Ensure that interview guides are in place and aligned to the NBI Future Focussed Behaviours. Advise recruiting panel on recruitment proces. Coordinate recruitment activities including but not limited to: Manage job posts on various platforms.Managing the eRecruitment application process.Preparing formal advertisements.Disseminating recruiting material.Processing applications and maintaining shortlisting schedule.Creating interview guides as required.Conducting interviews.Ensuring that psychometric and other assessments and feedback sessions are arranged.Conducting reference checks.Prepare reports and make recommendations in respect of staff appointments.Process the offers of employment.Provide interview feedback to candidates. Maintain a candidate database to support pipeline recruitment. Participate in employer branding programmes and recruitment fairs. Liaise with employment agencies and maintain adherence to SLA. Ensure that payroll documents are collated and that a new employee file is created and submitted to the CoE: Total Rewards and Remuneration. Identify gaps in the recruitment & selection process, propose corrective actions and implement as required. Reporting Provide inputs into divisional reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Provide inputs into the divisional risk register. May be required to work overtime to meet the business needs. Must be prepared to work shifts/weekends/public holidays when needed. Specific SHE Requirements Pre-employment, routine, and exit medicals are compulsory due to the nature of the business. Attendance to SHE-related training is mandatory. Adherence to SHE Instructions (Waste Segregation, Water and Energy Saving Initiatives) Compliance with SHE Site Rules is compulsory. NBI uses hazardous and biologically active chemicals. The successful candidate will be required to use proper PPE and will go through medical examinations as per OSH Act requirements. Minimum Requirements Relevant HR Degree/diploma. Postgraduate qualification HR is an added advantage. 3-4 years experience as a Recruitment Officer or HR Generalist is essential. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).

You Bring

  • 3 - 5 years solid Recruitment experience

What You’ll Do For The Brand

Business Support
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in managing the recruitment function nationally and internationally.
  • Implementation and rollout of innovative recruitment solutions in order to provide a quality service to Hiring Managers, and ensure high calibre candidates are recruited into the business within the required SLA.
  • Build relationships with Line Managers in order to better understand their requirements and priorities from a recruitment perspective.
Recruitment Processes
  • Recruit and manage senior-level recruitment from the beginning to the end, whilst ensuring the recruitment policies and processes are adhered to and are ethical and professional at all times.
  • This includes advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing and negotiating of offers with prospective candidates.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to the recruitment processes within the Talent Acquisition team, as well as within the recruitment function nationally.
Networking/Relationship Building
  • Build networks to source qualified candidates.
  • Participate in job fairs & career events. Responsible for the coordination, rollout and tracking of various career Expos to attract students and prospective talent from accredited tertiary institutions.
  • Liaise with Third party Suppliers to ensure services and offerings received are of high standard.
Recruitment Platforms and Content
  • Assist in monitoring the functionality of all platforms and resources in relation to the recruitment function, thereby maximising the effectiveness of the tool.
  • Ensure content is reviewed and updated as and when required.
  • Assist to implement and monitor tracking of Return on Investment of recruitment platforms and tools.
Team Management
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in managing the recruitment team, ensuring efficient and quality output from all Team Members.
  • Provide guidance & support to Team Members when any bottlenecks are faced.
Analysis and Reporting
  • Assist in providing monthly reports on recruitment metrics, helping to identify trends and seek solutions to improve on areas of concern.
Projects
  • Attend to ad hoc recruitment tasks and management of projects as and when the need arises.

Recruitment

Responsibilities
  • Follow the recruitment process as outlined, unless otherwise advised.
  • Obtain pre-recruitment authorization form signed off by management in order to proceed with recruitment process.
  • Draft internal and external advertisements for vacancies. Place adverts after sign off from the Line Manager.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews against job spec and eliminate unsuitable candidates early on in the recruitment process. Collate and present CVs to the line manager for consideration.
  • Coordinate/facilitate interviews. Coordinating diary times and scheduling interviews with relevant Line Managers and/or Recruitment Manager.
  • Ensure competency-based interview questions are posed as part of targeted selection process.
  • Ensure that reference checks are completed for the final shortlisted candidate, as well as other formal checks (credit/fraud/criminal/qualification/driver’s license etc. where appropriate) and obtain a most recent pay slip.
  • Draft offer letter for candidate after package has been approved.
  • Maintain all pertinent application and interview data. Ensure that interview notes, guides and reference checks are uploaded onto the HRIS.
  • Ensure that all candidates who do not meet the requirements are advised by way of rejection letters, emails or notifications. Ensure each candidate has received feedback regarding the outcome of the interview/ ensure agencies receive feedback.
  • Utilize the internet for sourcing of candidates.
  • Maintain a pool of readily available candidates.
  • Formally start building a database of candidates that can be referred to.
  • Coordinate polygraph examinations when required. Send brief to candidate and invites in terms of sessions.
  • Provide daily reports and monthly reports.
  • Attend weekly recruitment meetings.
  • Attend to ad hoc tasks/projects as and when the need arises.
Qualifications
  • An HR or related qualification is preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years recruitment experience.
  • Results driven: Consistently delivers required business results; sets and achieves goals, consistently complies with quality standards and meets deadlines; maintains focus on organizational goals.
  • Accountability: Follows through and delivers results in spite of obstacles. Admits to errors and takes corrective action to avoid repetition. Approaches own work with dedication and high sense of responsibility.
  • Reporting: Collate and report on information. Account for and verify reporting figures/ statistics. Review/analyse reporting statistics and figures in order to identify trends and make relevant recommendations.
  • Relationship management: Developing and maintaining professional business associations at all levels. Establish relationships both inside and outside the organization. Effectively apply networking and influencing skills.
  • Interview skills: Understands best practice interview techniques to ensure that high calibre candidates are selected.
  • Proven experience in headhunting/sourcing and networking initiatives.
