OverviewA Purchasing Manager will work with suppliers to negotiate contracts, purchase required goods and keep accurate records of transactions, trends and performance with vendors.
What will I be doingAs Purchasing Manager you will work with suppliers to negotiate contracts, purchase required goods and keep accurate records of transactions, trends and performance with vendors. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Obtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased using Group Nominated suppliers where applicable
- Ensure locally nominated supplier information is kept current
- Manage the database of active local contracts with suppliers
- Ensure Purchasing Manual is current
- Adhere to quality procedures and standards and oversee purchasing administration such that all Hilton policies and standards are upheld
- Work with the Finance Manager / Director to draft the annual budget
- Maintain a record of commitments for all budgets and ensure that the relevant senior managers are constantly informed of updates
- Ensure a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase orders
- Manage relationships with hotel suppliers and report on their performance
- Manage employee relations, recruiting Team Members as required and following the appraisal procedures for Team Members
- Supervise the operation of the stores, uphold company health and safety, quality assurance and control procedures, make improvements to the level of control, compile accurate stock records and maintain proper records of requisition and replenishment transactions
- Monitor all areas of purchasing including contracts, leases and nominations
- Prepare the month end accounts and reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Execute on tasks / requests as instructed by the Hotel Management

Job Description
The Sr. Sourcing Manager will execute complex sourcing projects, from start to finish, including but not limited to – sourcing requests validation per client guidelines, requirements analysis for the bid packages, communicating with client requesters to close any data gaps, prepare and publish the package to the identified suppliers for bidding purposes, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, and summarizing proposals back to the requestor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of escalation with the team and client, communicating and resolving operational issues
- Ensure the client engagement is executed successfully per contract requirements.
- Provide leadership and consultation on strategic projects with high importance and visibility within the client
- Meet with the client program management team on a weekly basis and lead operations discussions. Lead process improvement discussions to enhance operations.
- Ensure client specific processes and exceptions are documented in a category strategy and other available Intellectual Capital (IC)
- Provides sourcing services (RFP, RFI, FRQ) to our clients based on predefined service levels, managing simple to complex projects simultaneously
- Lead and execute the sourcing process from start to finish, e.g. RFx development, reverse auctions, data analysis etc
- A strong understanding of the reverse auction methodology and concepts that apply to various sourcing scenarios: Lotting, Pricing, Supplier Communications, stakeholder change management.
- Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or SMEs on project strategy and tailor sourcing execution based on direction provided by them
- Evaluate project scope and determine sourcing approach and methodology to be applied; develop and/or customize various templates including RFx, pricing, and proposal evaluation
- Perform in depth analysis of proposals submitted, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present back to the client in a concise manner
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Conduct peer reviews for other team member’s projects and check for quality, consistency and compliance with sourcing methodology and client specific requirements

Job Description
We are looking to recruit two Supply Chain Graduates to support the Supply Chain team by providing analysis and insights on initiatives and projects to deliver the expected outcomes and benefits. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Woodstock.
Responsibilities:- To provide analysis on the viability and implementation of supply chain initiatives to improve supply chain KPI's.
- To support the implementation of approved projects in line with standard project and chain management methodology within the agreed time, cost and quality to optimise the supply chain.
- To support the development and training of new business processes and standard operating procedures to ensure new methods of work are clearly understood, implemented and practised.
- To contribute to supply chain project planning to ensure alignment with supply chain business goals and objectives.
- To collaborate with IT on system and reporting changes to ensure system efficiency and benefits for users.
- Degree/Btech in Supply Chain, Logistics, Bcom (Essential)
- Proficiency in e-mail
