Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies: responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to achieve International’s sales and profitability targets.
  • Market analysis: analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to identify business opportunities.
  • Sustainability – as the subject matter expert your role will be to manage the implementation and assessment of suppliers to ensure sustainability targets are achieved.
  • International trade agreements: Manage implementation of the international trade agreement (specifically USA, Africa, India and South America).
  • Sales forecasting: work with the product managers to develop and maintain sales forecasts, monitor performance against targets and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Supplier performance: Identify, vet & approve vendors and manage their performance in line with agreed SLA’s.
  • Costing, Pricing and negotiations: negotiate contracts, pricing and SLAs with approved suppliers.
  • Contract management: responsible for managing contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and resolving any disputes that may arise.
  • Risk management: identify and manage commercial risks including credit risk, supply chain risk and foreign exchange risk.
  • Project and team management: manage and motivate team members both internally and externally providing leadership, guidance, and support as necessary.
  • Relationship building: build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers ensuring the company's International’s commercial objectives are aligned with their needs.
  • Stock Management: ensure accuracy and optimization of trade-related stock levels and manage overall stock holding in line with working capital targets.
  • Business Development: Develop plans for expansion and business development in consultation with the NPD, marketing, sales and product management teams.

Job Description

The Sr. Sourcing Manager will execute complex sourcing projects, from start to finish, including but not limited to – sourcing requests validation per client guidelines, requirements analysis for the bid packages, communicating with client requesters to close any data gaps, prepare and publish the package to the identified suppliers for bidding purposes, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, and summarizing proposals back to the requestor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of escalation with the team and client, communicating and resolving operational issues
  • Ensure the client engagement is executed successfully per contract requirements.
  • Provide leadership and consultation on strategic projects with high importance and visibility within the client
  • Meet with the client program management team on a weekly basis and lead operations discussions. Lead process improvement discussions to enhance operations.
  • Ensure client specific processes and exceptions are documented in a category strategy and other available Intellectual Capital (IC)
  • Provides sourcing services (RFP, RFI, FRQ) to our clients based on predefined service levels, managing simple to complex projects simultaneously
  • Lead and execute the sourcing process from start to finish, e.g. RFx development, reverse auctions, data analysis etc
  • A strong understanding of the reverse auction methodology and concepts that apply to various sourcing scenarios: Lotting, Pricing, Supplier Communications, stakeholder change management.
  • Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or SMEs on project strategy and tailor sourcing execution based on direction provided by them
  • Evaluate project scope and determine sourcing approach and methodology to be applied; develop and/or customize various templates including RFx, pricing, and proposal evaluation
  • Perform in depth analysis of proposals submitted, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present back to the client in a concise manner
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Conduct peer reviews for other team member’s projects and check for quality, consistency and compliance with sourcing methodology and client specific requirements

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead their supply chain operations. This role requires an analytical thinker with strong leadership and problem-solving skills to oversee the end-to-end supply chain function. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable operations. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and other critical components. Negotiate supplier contracts to secure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and compliance with quality standards. Build and manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess inventory. Implement and monitor KPIs to measure planning and operational performance. Conduct supply chain audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and GMP regulations. Collaborate with production, quality, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production planning. Maintain and optimise inventory management systems (ERP/WMS). Identify and assess supply chain risks, developing contingency plans as required. Drive sustainable supply chain practices and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and ethical standards. Lead, coach, and develop the Planning team, fostering a results-driven and positive work culture. Oversee the Warehouse Manager (with a team of 8–10 members), two Buyers (Raw Materials and Packaging), and a Planner. Required Skills Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement. Advanced negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Highly organised with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Commercial awareness and business acumen in supply chain decision-making. Proficiency in MS Office and supply chain management software (ERP/WMS). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years at managerial level. Proven forecasting experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or Food industries with solid GMP knowledge. Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvements in supply chain operations. Hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple supply chain functions. Full-time, on-site position – manufacturing experience is mandatory.
