Job Description
Medipost Pharmacy is looking for a professional self-driven individual to join their exciting Special Meds Department in the capacity of an Administrator Pharmacy. The successful individual will be placed in Gezina (Pretoria).
Primary purpose of the job
- Compliance with the POPI Act regulations.
- Compliance with the GPP as the regulatory principles that govern pharmacy and pharmacy personnel.
- Administrator-related rejections handled professionally and within SOPs and SLA timelines.
- Action diary handling and follow-up on queries within required timelines.
- Answering of incoming calls or call center duties.
- Opening of profiles and updating of delivery information as needed.
- Assisting with tracking queries received.
- E-mail and telephonic communications with patients, prescribers/Dr’s rooms, medical schemes, and other service provider networks (SPN).
- Handling and validation of Section 21 orders.
- Requesting security checks on possible replacement parcels.
- Ensure correct reporting to external service providers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as needed. Taking patient’s medication orders and following up on deliveries.
- Prescription collections when assisting in Schedule 6.
Specific Requirements/Other important information
- Willingness to work overtime if required by manager.
- Focused and responsible.
- Sense of urgency to the nature of the job.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12.
Ideal Experience
Experience on Microsoft Office will be advantageous.
Training Required
Medipost APP system training, SLA training, company policies and procedures, computer literacy, ESS.
Understanding of the Special Meds department and all its subdepartments.
Competencies
Verbal and written communication skills, listening skills, patience, empathy, conflict resolution skills, customer service orientation, accuracy, data capturing skills, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills, time management, able to handle pressure, deadline-oriented, neatness, initiative, confidentiality.
