The Department of Health are seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of Registered Nurse to work in the West Coast District Hospital.
The West Coast Hospital includes 9 sub-acute care beds inclusive of 1 Palliative Suite, an Emergency First Response Unit, a 16 bed Aged Care Residential facility and visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinic, Physiotherapy and Podiatry.
As a Registered Nurse, you will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time and part time, shift worker position, working up to 76hours per fortnight.

Salary: $7 ,179 to 105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Access to the Grade 4 salary range 99,455- 105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9 010 + 2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of 3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%

- Paymentof 15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.

- Liaise with the Quality Care Manager and medical practitioners, keeping them informed of residents’ issues and treatments. Maintain progress reports and communicate with residents’ families. Foster close working relationships with subordinates, house management, multi disciplinarity members, conduct objective performance assessments, reporting to the Quality Care Manager
- Provide quality resident care with dignity and respect, contributing positively to the team and care environment
