An opportunity has arisen within the Cardiothoracic Department in the Division of Surgery, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and we are now seeking qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join this well-established team on a permanent or secondment basis. No Cardiothoracic experience necessary as training will be provided. If successful candidate is internal to NHSG, secondment will be offered for 12 months.

The ANP team provides assessment, treatment and ongoing clinical care for patients in our Cardiothoracic ward, Surgical High Dependency Unit and Cardiac ICU. The department receives Major Trauma patients and the ANP team are essential to the clinical management of these patients.

As an ANP/ACP joining this team you will be expected to work a day/night rotational rota including weekends. Maintaining and developing your advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence as well as supporting that of others within the team, will also be an expectation of you in this role.

You will hold a PgDip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent and have experience working in an advanced practice role.
