Requirements- Grade 12;
- Degree / National Diploma in Administration or Law.
- An LLB / CGISA qualification or working towards such is advantageous .
- Min 2 years of experience in an administrative environment with a focus on governance and / or legal support.
- Exp legal administrative environment is preferred.
- Exp administrative support to Board or technical committees , meeting administration , and
- Knowledge of governance frameworks (e.g., King IV ), relevant legislation (e.g., Companies Act, Listing Rules), and regulatory requirements, preferably within the mining sector .
- Assistance in the preparation of accurate Board and Committee documents (agendas, minutes, resolutions);
- Preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, programmes, and documents before scheduled meetings;
- Efficient turnaround time when requested to address and correct any revisions or feedback received on documents;
- Speed and accuracy in retrieval and provision of documents to stakeholders;
- Timeliness and effectiveness in l ogistical arrangements for meetings, including venue bookings and transportation where necessary;
- Assist in general compliance monitoring and reporting on the number of compliance issues identified and assist in their resolution;
- Assist preparations for audits, including the completeness and accuracy of compliance documentation.

The Mine Overseer Infrastructure Main Shaft is accountable for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the South Deep main vertical shaft infrastructure and the associated ground handling systems. The vertical shaft is a 3000-metre single drop multiple shaft infrastructure comprising of 3 shafts and four winders. The horizontal ground handling system consists of an intricate network of 21 conveyor belts with numerous ore passes and box front systems. The incumbent's core accountability is to ensure the safe, optimised and integrated functioning of the ground handling systems aligned to an integrated continuous operational cycle. Effective operational delivery relies extensively on advanced technical capability, intricate planning and scheduling skills, an unwavering drive for collaborative delivery and, exceptional safety leadership experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Mine Overseer's Certificate of Competency for Scheduled Mines
- At least 5 years' experience in managing a horizontal environment as Logistic Mine Overseer
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant's suitability for employment
Key Competencies:
- Advanced safety leadership capability with proven safety campaign delivery record

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in and lead interventions aimed at contributing to a culture of Zero Harm by adhering to and ensuring compliance with specified legislation, SHE policies and procedures, operational standards, instructions, and governance requirements.
- Actively engage in and demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership aligned to operational SHE standards, operational campaigns, and instructions.
- Schedule and conduct regular operational safety, safe work practices, and operational delivery inspections ensuring appropriate remediation interventions are executed.
- Maintain effective people management practices by ensuring that team roles and competencies are clearly defined, and that effective team delivery is maintained.
- Coach and guide Front Line Leaders (FLL) to assume and maintain effective and direct leadership accountability over their operational teams in respect of safety management, shift planning, work assignment, planned task observations, etc., and executing remedial measures as required.
- Participate in and lead the formulation, adjustment, execution, and active monitoring of all operational plans and schedules in relation to daily personnel, material and ore conveyancing, clearing of ore pass obstructions, horizonal conveyances management and large hard rock mining operations.
- Collaborate with engineering support and planned maintenance teams to establish optimal safe, efficient operation of all machinery, equipment and infrastructure to optimise the mine's O4R (operating for reliability) and M4R (Maintain for Reliability) campaigns.
- Ensure continuous remediation plans are designed, executed and monitored.
- Participate in collaborative cross-functional team activities to share best practice, drive technical excellence and enhance sustainable commercial decision making.
- Investigate and analyse operational delivery effectiveness with a view to recommending and developing collaborative and innovative solutions to optimise the interfaces between teams, processes, and systems.
- Contribute toward the development and execution of operational improvement and related projects
- Manage relationships with key internal Business Partners and external stakeholders, by ensuring broad accountability is maintained against operational delivery, service level, commercial, community and ethical standards. Ensure the timely resolution of any matters of concern and/or escalate issues in a timely manner
