• Train and mentor drilling staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in drilling techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of drilling activities, including drill logs, reports, and maintenance records.

• Opencast Blasting Certificate
• Competency A
• HIRAC

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine
• Manage geotechnical investigations and ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps, and stockpiles
• Implement business intelligence and trend analysis within function
• Plan, implement, control, and monitor approved changes
• Input into functional planning and demonstrate awareness of macro and microeconomic factors
• Manage people development and identify training gaps
• Oversee internal and external relations management
• Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality (SHERQ) and related compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science / BTech in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining
• Certificate in Rock Mechanics (Rock Engineering)
• A minimum of seven (7) years operational Rock Engineering experience
• Three (3) years operational middle management experience
• Valid Code CI driver's license
• Legal appointment 2.13.1 as per the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Accreditation and registration with SANIRE – South African National Institute of Rock Engineering

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch department, ensuring the efficient and timely distribution of materials and equipment. They will coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that production targets are met and that all safety and operational procedures are followed.

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the dispatch team to ensure that materials and equipment are distributed as per production schedules.
2. Monitor and track the movement of materials and equipment, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Implement and enforce safety regulations and operational procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
4. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including inventory levels, deliveries, and equipment usage.
5. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and maintenance, to identify and resolve any issues that may impact dispatch operations.
6. Train and mentor dispatch team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
7. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to help them improve their performance and achieve their goals.

2. 5 years of experience in the mining industry within an opencast setting
3. Control Room work experience
4. Computer literate with extensive experience in Excel
5. Valid Drivers License
