Responsibilities- Support the Operations Manager in the planning and execution of mining operations
- Monitor production targets, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and logistics
- Assist in the preparation of operational reports, shift handovers, and production data
- Identify areas for operational improvement and cost-efficiency
- Participate in workforce management, shift planning, and coordination
- Monitor equipment usage and availability on site
- Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment (preferably site-based)
- Strong knowledge of mining processes, production, and safety protocols

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine
- Manage geotechnical investigations and ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps, and stockpiles
- Implement business intelligence and trend analysis within function
- Plan, implement, control, and monitor approved changes
- Input into functional planning and demonstrate awareness of macro and microeconomic factors

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science / BTech in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining

- A minimum of seven (7) years operational Rock Engineering experience
- Three (3) years operational middle management experience
- Valid Code CI driver's license
- Legal appointment 2.13.1 as per the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Accreditation and registration with SANIRE – South African National Institute of Rock Engineering
