The Marketing Performance Analyst in Cape Town will be the driving force behind optimizing customer acquisition efforts across digital and traditional channels. Your key job responsibilities as the Marketing Performance Analyst in Cape Town will include:
Dive deep into data from PPC, SEO, affiliate marketing, paid social, and display advertising channels.Measure and evaluate campaigns using CPA, ROAS, and FTD% to ensure every cent spent brings results.Build dynamic dashboards and reports (via Google Analytics, Sheets, Excel) that communicate clear insights to the team.Spot performance trends across all channels, turning insights into action to boost results.Strategize acquisition improvements, making sure budgets are used wisely and efficiently.Stay on top of campaign metrics, adjusting on the go to ensure growth and profitability are always in focus.Identify high-value customer segments and tweak acquisition strategies to capture them.Break down the customer journey from awareness to conversion and offer insights to reduce drop-offs and boost conversion rates.Work with CRM to ensure retention strategies work hand-in-hand with acquisition efforts.Develop forecasting models to predict marketing performance and customer growth.Support budgeting and forecasting for acquisition efforts, ensuring everything aligns with company goals.Analyze the impact of budget allocation on results and suggest adjustments to optimize spend.Ensure tracking and attribution are set up flawlessly across all channels, collaborating with tech and analytics teams.Use tracking tools to maintain accuracy and continually refine attribution models for full visibility.Manage the tech tools that track, report, and optimize acquisition campaigns.Partner with the marketing team to evaluate new tools and tech for improved efficiency.Lead A/B testing initiatives, using data to prove hypotheses and improve campaign outcomes.Keep a close eye on market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes.Deliver insights that help refine acquisition strategies and give the company a competitive edge.RequirementsRequirements for this Marketing Performance Analyst job in Cape Town :

RequirementsPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Marketing Performance Analysis:
Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email, Display, Affiliates).
- Identify key trends, opportunities, and issues from performance data, providing actionable recommendations for optimisation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track KPIs and present findings to stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth audience segmentation analysis to inform targeted marketing strategies.
- Perform A/B testing and multivariate testing on campaigns and landing pages to improve conversion rates.
- Analyse website traffic patterns, user journeys, and conversion funnels using tools like Google Analytics.

Adobe Campaign Email Workflow Development:
Design, build, and deploy complex, multi-stage email marketing workflows within Adobe Campaign.

- Develop and execute A/B tests within email campaigns to optimise subject lines, content, send times, and calls-to-action.
- Monitor email campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates) and provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to email campaign delivery or data integration within Adobe Campaign.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA and other relevant data privacy regulations in all email marketing activities.
Collaborate with content creators and designers to ensure email assets are correctly integrated into workflows.
KPI Reporting & Insights:
Own the collation, analysis, and presentation of the digital sections of the monthly marketing KPI deck.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across all digital marketing reports.

Using the content briefs to support the page build alongside the Marketing Specialist within the CMS Rhythmyx.
- Support the Marketing Specialist to update and improve content using content briefs - as and when necessary.
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
- Proven experience (typically 2-4 years) in a Digital Marketing Analyst, Marketing Analyst, or similar data-driven role.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing and building email marketing workflows and segmentation (preferably within Adobe Campaign).
- Strong proficiency in web analytics platforms, particularly Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Experience with other digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, social media analytics platforms).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides for data manipulation, analysis, and professional reporting/presentations.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of key digital marketing channels and their associated metrics (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
