Supply Chain Analyst  required for an automotive company based in East London 

Purpose: 

To provide critical support for the Supply Chain & Operations functions by analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on key data and processes.

The Supply Chain Analyst is also responsible for gathering data, analyzing trends and reporting the performance for various activities in the SCM department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum tertiary qualification / technical diploma and/or specific training in Supply Chain Management. Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within field of expertise
  • Knowledge and working experience with QAD or MFG Pro is beneficial
  • Previous supervisory experience advantageous
  • Must possess excellent communications skills and can work effectively with all other functional groups throughout the organization.
  • Accurate Document Control
  • Able to process time sensitive information and orders to meet deadlines
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and generate presentations when required
  • The person will need to have excellent analytical skills in order to problem solve and implement permanent corrective action.

  • Provide depot container overview with focus placed on containers incurring any premium cost
  • Host quarterly vendor performance meetings and feedback sessions
  • Support for ad-hoc implementation of freight projects, service provider changes or enhancements to the department

BRIEF ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Clients Contract Logistics operations. This includes the managing and ordering of inventory, forecasting, coordinating the movement of goods from Client to Region, management and monitoring of overall stock accuracy as well as Vehicle stock accuracy, handling shipping and receiving, overseeing monthly and quarterly Audits, Weekly and Monthly Reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant processes, governance, regulations, standards, and risk mitigation.   2. Manage and optimize transportation and distribution network timelines.
  3. Manage, monitor, and track shipments and orders to ensure timely delivery.
  4. Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels in line with warehouse operations.
  5. Manage and maintain accurate Field Technician Vehicle inventory levels.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
Profile

Tertiary Education:
National Diploma/bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in supply chain management or logistics.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
Proficient with logistics software and systems.
Experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Technical/Core Training: Practical knowledge of Supply Chain; Basic Technical Telecommunications knowledge.
IT Training: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge, Inventory Management.

Licenses:
