DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Distribution Centre (DC) and stores, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and requests in accordance with company SOPs.
- Uphold Pedros People values and leadership principles, fostering integration across the business and with new hires.
- Collect invoices from the Accounts Department timely.
- Reconcile printed invoices with delivery schedules and B2B lists for Finance.
- Manage Nightshift operations, batch pick slips, and verify accuracy.
- Facilitate trip planning: create trip sheets, allocate seals, batch driver packs, and deconstruct invoice packs meticulously.
- Check stamps, signatures, lug information, verify trip sheets, and reconcile previous day's invoices against the Invoice Handover Sheet.
- Capture customer orders/B2Bs on the sales order report and ensure timely submission.
- Monitor Store WhatsApp Groups for DC queries and escalate as needed for feedback.
- Provide feedback on vehicle ETAs and Poultry Claim Feedback.
- Note and escalate store special requests, monitor seal pictures, and document empty lug counts.
- Perform relief supervisory and debrief duties as necessary.
- Manage data capture responsibilities, including Claim Tracker, Poultry Shortages Document, and document updates.
- Handle administrative tasks: create ad-hoc trip sheets, file documents, and assist with non-routine duties.
- Ensure effective communication: post ETAs on store WhatsApp groups and notify customers of delays.
- Manage logistics processes: transportation, prepare shipping documents, and track shipments.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to support supply chain activities.
- Implement and maintain logistics software and systems.
- Schedule trucks for repairs and track trips; monitor drivers and V'as.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a logistics administrator or in a similar role within a distribution center.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, including transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Proficient in logistics and inventory management software, as well as standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Organizational and time management skills.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the movement of materials and supplies into the company and the movement of finished products to customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, monitor warehouse and distribution areas for efficiency in operations and capacity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Compiling records and prepare reports
- Coordinate and manage a small team with offloading
- Health and safety supervision and checks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Receiving construction materials, processing, and storage of material and ensuring materials are delivered to site timeously.
- Ensuring proper and adequate optimization of storage areas i.e. stores / containers / yard.

- Mitigating, resolving, and recording material issues daily i.e. Defects, damages
- Doing all administrative aspects of material receiving and issuing.
- Ensuring administrative requirements of materials receiving and dispatching are recorded and filed.
- Processing of delivery notes issued for material issues to be signed, scanned, recorded, and filed.
- Updating spreadsheets on excel to track materials that have been received and issued to sub-contractors and sharing this information on a weekly basis for material requests to be made correctly.
- Support in the procurement of local tooling and spare parts processes.
- Support in the management of logistics and storage of components through port, warehousing.
- Communicating with third party vendors daily.
- Check report on temporary storage yard.
- Ensure that the products are suitably packaged.
- Assisting with BBBEE verification of suppliers.
Logistics Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 5 years of prior experience in a supervisory role in logistics or related field
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and distribution processes and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment
