Reporting to Sales Director About the Role As a Sales Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the companys growth. You will play a pivotal role in executing sales and marketing strategies, managing the sales pipeline, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities Manage the sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and converting prospects into long-term customers Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies for the companys innovative products and solutions Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored technical solutions Prepare detailed quotations and proposals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing sales orders and responding to customer enquiries Oversee the entire project cycle from start to finish, including project expediting and ensuring on-time delivery of solutions Provide in-field technical support, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimising our products to deliver superior performance for clients Collaborate closely with the sales team, resellers, and distributors to ensure alignment of strategies and customer support goals Requirements: Relevant Degree / Qualification, preferably in a related field such as Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B or Industrial Sales, preferably in Engineering, Mining, or similar industries Mechanical background a plus with ability to read, comprehend and interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including interpretation of engineering drawings, simple schematics, and electrical diagrams Proven track record in sales and business development, with a focus on technical or industrial fields Experience in sales planning, budget management and driving revenue growth Strong technical understanding of industrial or engineering products, with hands-on experience in commissioning and troubleshooting Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems

Our client, a global leader in transport and logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.

The main purpose of this role is to sign up new accounts and to manage these accounts effectively

Location: Kempton Park

Job type: Permanent Position – on site

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business and develop a qualified pipeline of leads and convert to actual billing sustainable clients.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Monthly billing and financial reporting
  • Daily general administrative duties
  • Analysis of sales related information and report weekly to Regional New Business Sales Manager.
  • Maintaining client data and update regularly
  • Continuous reporting on competitor and industry analysis.
  • Assist in tender/proposal production and delivery. (Preparation and presentation)
  • Ensure that the required quarterly, accumulative and annual targets are met.
  • Implementation and communication of signed business is shared with all stakeholders.
  • Management of debtor’s days of clients within the company’s requirements.
  • Ensure regular Inter department communication.
  • Identifying cross silo solutions and work with other Department heads to ensure successful partnerships.

Requirements

  • Completed Matric / Grade 12 - Non-Negotiable
  • Tertiary qualification an added advantage
  • 2-3 years Key Account Management & New Business sales experience
  • Experience in prospecting for new business
  • Experience in achieving new business targets set
  • Tender Management
  • Experience in selling cross silo solutions
  • Signing up strategic new accounts and growing business
  • Experience with implementation of strategic accounts
  • Valid unendorsed drivers licence with own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable)

Komatsu South Africa is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Africa Operations Team who will be responsible for networking and building supplier and distributor relationships across the Southern African region.

Duties & Responsibilities

Horizon Planning: Human resource management, financial management, corporate governance, contacts & supplier management, liaison and change management, continuous leadership development.

Business Development:

  • Attends mining events with a view to conducting research on latest trends/developments/economic forecasts.
  • Conducts fact finding and research on possible emerging markets in African countries in the ambit of KAfH.
  • Proposes Business Development strategies in neighbouring cross border countries.
  • Monitors plans with regard to budgets and progress.

  • Drafts & coordinates implementation plans for the establishment of new business.
  • Manages and coordinates the establishment of infrastructure for new business in neighbouring countries.
  • Liaises, communicates and provides feedback to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Builds long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Monitors progress for the establishment of new territories in terms of financial indicators, infrastructure, customer satisfaction, sales, service and market penetration.
  • Analyses areas for improvement and suggests amendments to policy.
  • Monitors existing customer sites with regard to customer satisfaction, new business opportunities and to address issues for improvement.
  • Monitors and confirms customer compliance with Komatsu terms and conditions of sale.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience:

  • Experience within the Heavy Earthmoving Equipment / Mining industry is an advantage.
  • MS Office (Advanced).
  • SAP-BI (Reporting).

Qualification:

  • B.Com degree with Accounting/Marketing (NQF level 7).
