Location: Great Brak - Mossel Bay Type: Permanent Company: Dymaxa
Our client, a reputable role-player in the manufacture of footwear and wholesale trade is seeking a dynamic Factory Store Manager (Internal/External), within the Retail factory shop in Great Brak River. The incumbent will be responsible for leading all aspects of store operations, including staff management, inventory control and customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate the team, maintain store standards and ensure a positive experience for customers to drive sales.

Duties Include The Following, But Not Limited To
  • Store operations - ensure the efficient running of the store to enable the achievement of sales targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive store sales and achievement of targets through effective sales techniques and team motivation.
  • Responsible for store merchandising, ensuring that the store is clean, well-organized and visually appealing.
  • Manage daily opening and closing procedures and all security protocols.
  • Take ownership of the POS system, including the handling of cash, transactions, and reconciliation of the cash register.
  • Ensure that all stock is accounted for and accurately reflected on the POS system.
  • Customer service – always promote excellent customer service.
  • Ensure team members are on the floor and actively greeting and servicing customers.
  • Build rapport and engage with customers, addressing their concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Stock management – maintain sufficient stock levels in store and proactively request for replenishment.
  • Ensure stock is accurately represented on the system through all stock movement processes.
  • Ensure that all stock is accounted for by conducting regular stock counts, minimizing stock loss.
  • Ensure that all stock on hand have correct pricing with a barcoded label.
  • Monitor empty boxes, odd pairs and damages.
  • Resource management – manage employee scheduling, ensuring that the store can run efficiently.
  • Maintain discipline amongst employees, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, including issuing warnings and representation at internal hearings.
  • Drive team motivation to increase customer satisfaction as well as sales.
  • Initiate training initiatives as needed to assist with team skill development.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Proficient in SYSPRO or similar inventory management system
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar store managerial role
  • Experience in MS Outlook and excel
  • Code B driver’s licence or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Manages 5-6 employees
  • Trading hours – Monday to Friday (08h30 am to 17h00pm), Saturday (08h30 am to 13h00), public holiday (09h00 am to 13h00 pm)
Salary: R15 000 to R20 000 TCTC.

  • General House Committee and Central House Committee Procurement Support to the ResLife Student Leadership Support Coordinator
  • General Eventing, Marketing Support and Social Media Monitoring to and on behalf of the ResLife Student Leadership Support Coordinator (includes after hours, on-site support)
  • Driving, Supporting and Administration of the all RS Student Leadership Elections Processes
  • Administrative and Implementation Support of Elections schedules for House Committees and the Central House Committee
  • Attendance of all elections-related meetings and minute-taking
  • Support with the Inauguration, Induction, and Orientation of elected House Committees and the Central House Committee
  • Collation of training materials including manuals, resources, hand-outs etc
  • Receiving and screening of Event requisitions and attached budgets for final sign off from the Coordinator and ResLife Manager
  • Setting up, maintaining, monitoring, responding to, and updating social networking sites and programme marketing strategies on behalf of Student Leadership Support

Minimum Requirements

  • A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate(NQF 6)in Project and/or Office Management or related
  • 2 to 5 years demonstrated experience in a projectadministrative and implementation capacity
  • A valid SA driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years

Core Experience

  • Excellent skills in terms of office and project administration
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of procurement activities and processes in previous work experience

  • Initiate the design, implementation and monitoring of external sentiment analysis and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner across the business to craft, shape and deliver culture change initiatives that embed values, enable change agility and foster inclusion and belonging.
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of the enterprise-wide leadership development framework and philosophy aligned to business capability needs.
  • Design and deliver and manage leadership programmes for emerging, mid-level and senior leaders and ensure integration into the broader talent life cycle, including performance management, internal mobility and succession planning.
  • Provide strategic guidance and capability-building support to HRBPs and business leaders through change and leadership transformation programmes.
  • Ensure leadership and culture initiatives are integrated, scalable and measurable and aligned to the turnaround and transformation journey.
