To support the origination, structuring and execution of Real Estate Finance solutions, by understanding the lending value proposition, processes, ways of work and performing outputs to the standard necessary to enable the achievement of exceptional client experience.
Qualifications
- Honors Degree in Property Studies
- At least 1- 2 years foundational experience & understanding of the Investment Banking lending value proposition.
- At least 2 years understanding and knowledge of local and global Lending products / solutions to effectively develop and present innovative client solutions.
- At least 2 years experience in building financial models, and analyzing large amounts of data and information to develop and present reports to key stakeholders
- At least 1 - 2 years basic understanding of the risk mitigation process.
- Economic Research - Ability to acquire a greater understanding of trade, economics or relevant subject under study through the application of formal research methodologies.
- Financial Analysis - The knowledge and understanding of more advanced analyses and the way in which financial ratios, trends, business and value drivers interact.

Our client is on the hunt for a dynamic and motivated Associate – Banking & Investment Support Officer to join a prestigious family office company. The successful candidate will form part of the Banking and Investment Support team and ensure a high-quality and consistent client service. The individual will assist in the execution of instructions and various administrative tasks around bank account and investment management in an accurate way and by respecting appropriate deadlines.
Principal Elements & Accountabilities:
Banking:
- Opening and closing of bank and investment accounts with core and non-core banks.
- Collaborate with a variety of financial institutions across numerous jurisdictions worldwide to set up client relationships.
- Maintain bank and investment accounts, for instance by adding/removing a beneficiary/settlor/protector or giving a power of attorney to a third party.
- Maintain bank and investment accounts.
- Maintain an E-Banking users list.
- Take on and loss of clients.
- Transfer of equities, bonds, mutual funds and private placement between custodians, through fund administrators and/or with private companies.
- Input of data in our in-house integrated database system to keep up-to-date information at any point in time.
- Respond to day to day queries from internal and/or external parties and help resolve issues.
- Manage and execute business initiatives independently from inception to implementation.
- Relevant/day-to-day people management tasks.
Investments:
- Preparing subscription/redemption instructions for Alternative Investments (Single Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Property Funds etc).
- Inputting non-automated investment transactions in our in-house integrated database systems.
- Keeping line-by-line and non-automated clients investment accounting up to date.
- Managing and executing instructions like corporate actions, proxy votes, conversions, capital calls and distributions.
- Collating KYC, FATCA, CRS and compliance documentation for fund administrators and other third parties.
- Preparing SWIFT payment instructions.
- Reconciliation of investment positions and working on reconciliation breaks.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Appropriate degree or higher diploma and 5 to 8 years of experience in working in the financial industry would be an advantage.
- STEP qualifications would be an advantage but at least a good understanding of basic information re Offshore Trust and Company and the relationship between Trust and Company, Trustee and Beneficiaries.
- Team management experience is required.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook and modern financial accounting packages).
- Knowledge and understanding of Double Entry Bookkeeping and Multi-Currency accounting.
- Knowledge and understanding of Financial Products.

The candidate will be part of the Credit team responsible for the Prescient Credit funds. To utilise PIM credit philosophy process by employing quantitative analysis in asset selection, pricing and managing of credit portfolio.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESKey Objective
The key objective is the development of analytics tools and strategies, as well as the improvement and extension of PRIME for the Credit Funds.
Quantitative Analysis:
- Assist in defining the PRIME framework and incorporate current analytics tools and reporting.
Develop processes and analytics tools to monitor model and portfolio performance and accuracy.
Research and develop models and techniques. - Document research, processes, and model validation.
Credit Research and Analysis:
- Apply established models to compute default probability scores. An analyst would be required to make an analytical argument on the change thereto over time, highlight downside risks for the foreseeable future, and rank & compare to industry peers.
- Use PIM sector-specific financial scorecards to analyse the creditworthiness of companies and their sub-factor drivers of the credit score, incorporating ESG analysis.
- Perform in-depth analysis and research to assess and monitor the creditworthiness of borrowers/issuers over the term of the exposure.
- Understand market dynamics (e.g., credit supply/demand) and company fundamentals influencing PIM’s credit investments.
Credit Management:
- Monitor the risk-adjusted return of the credit universe, build and oversee portfolio optimization models, and make recommendations to enhance credit portfolio performance.
- Engage in counterparty interactions as part of the role.
- Assess credit opportunities, including exposure to assets in Infrastructure Funds (monitoring and new opportunities).
Investment Analysis:
- Originate debt investments via new and existing borrowers, liaising with bond issuers, DCM teams, arrangers, and rating agencies.
- Provide input into the development of broader responsible investment policies, ESG methodologies, and impact strategies.
Credit Process Development and Advancement:
- Validate investment models and monitor portfolio performance and accuracy.
- Contribute to research and development of new models and techniques.
- Document research, processes, and model validation.
- Ensure the accuracy and currency of information used in the process.
Team Interaction:
The key objective is to work on a collaborative basis, ensuring that the team remains cohesive and successful. The analyst is expected to:

- Maintain relationships with Portfolio Managers, Dealers and Performance & Risk, Client Operations and Reporting teams. Understand their queries and the impact a data issue has on their function/process, manage their expectations, and consider changes to avoid a recurrence.
- Have a key relationship with Investment Operations and assist in data queries which arise in that team.
- Maintain relationship with Data team as well as assist in the oversight of that team.
- Maintain relationship with other data providers (Benchmark Data Provider) and assist in oversight of that team, ensuring quality of benchmark data.
- Create securities required for trading.
- Maintain security static data.
- Perform daily system and data reconciliations.
- Review NAV reconciliations, investigate breaks and communicate to impacted business users of the data.
- Assist with the implementation of new products and new instruments from a data operations perspective.
- Continually review and update processes and procedures to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- BCom / BBus Sci or other similar degrees.
Experience:
