Essence of the job :

The main purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional support to a Wealth Manager effectively managing deadline-driven tasks with client-centricity professionalism and trust at the core of operations. The WMA should strive to be an administrative partner to the Wealth Manager by meticulously handling deadlines paperwork and operational details to enhance the overall service provided by the Wealth Manager to our clients. The goal is to elevate the clients experience through effective communication proactivity and dependability enabling the Wealth Manager to focus on nurturing wealth for our private clients and their families.

Qualification :

Commerce or financial degree from a reputable tertiary institution (advantageous)

CFP designation advantageous

RE5 advantageous.

Minimum Requirements :

Experience in and solid knowledge and understanding of the financial planning environment FAIS (CAT II advantageous) and FICA.

3-5 years working experience in the financial planning environment assisting Family Officers and / or Wealth.

Managers and / or Financial Advisors with administrative tasks or within administration with a focus on high volume tasks and responsibilities.

Prepare and collate new client onboarding documentation.

Oversee the management and updating of client CRM profile.

Liaise with external and internal providers on client specific queries and implementation of instructions.

Apply basic knowledge of the FAIS General Code of Conduct in daily work.

Draft and / or check Record of Advice and Replacement disclosure forms accurately and correctly to company internal compliance standards.

Ensure a basic level of product knowledge by keeping up to date with products used by service providers.

Compile proposal documents based on the Wealth Manager instruction and recommendations.

Compile a financial needs analysis and retirement needs analysis based on Wealth Manager recommendations and instructions.

MS Office Suite (including Teams Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook SharePoint) XPlan (advantageous).

The Operations team works closely with the Portfolio Managers, Distribution Team, Risk Team, the Trading Desk and external service providers on a day-to-day basis in order to achieve the highest level of impact to the business from utilising our combined knowledge base and skill as a team.

The Operations Analyst will report to the Head of Investment Operations who reports into the Chief Operating Officer.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Process:
o Contribute to and promote robust operating procedures across the investment management business to create an efficient, responsive and process driven Operations team.
o Improve business understanding of operations processes and procedures.
o Establish and promote enhanced business processes that ensure efficient and effective stakeholder delivery within set expectations and agreed performance standards in the area of accountability and the overall optimisation of the value chain for the business, including:
Performance of reconciliations.
Exception handling. Investigation of significant variances and effective resolution of reconciliation breaks and ad hoc challenges.
Monitoring of the operations mailbox and timeous execution of stakeholder requests.
Take responsibility for daily operational activities.
Liaise with stakeholders, run daily operational activities, receive and execute requests timeously.
Ensure timeous and correct recording of transactions.
Liaise with stakeholders to keep them fully appraised of the progress of queries.
o Reconciliation of trade and fund dealing activity, corporate action and Proxy voting management, cash management and spot FX instruction, reconciliation of cash, positions and performance.

To follow incident management protocols and assist to restore provided IT services to normal operation as quickly as possible by liaising with Vendors and Group Technology. Assist with testing Infrastructure deployments/upgrades when required

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver on agreed timelines by ensuring the known error database is updated when new releases are deployed and relevant incidents are logged on JIRA.
  • Ensure adherence to problem and incident management procedures by providing feedback and recommending process improvements.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by being cost-aware and aligning with business needs through timely stakeholder updates.
  • Monitor the volume and severity of problems, escalating when thresholds are reached, in line with service level agreements.
  • Build strong networks across Group Technology by understanding end-to-end service delivery and participating in agile ceremonies.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders by tracking and recording progress of actions and reviewing customer feedback and SLAs.
  • Strengthen user experience by tracking the impact of recurring problems and conducting trend analysis post-change.
  • Analyse incident faults and errors through root cause analysis and identify critical problem areas using capacity and availability reports.
  • Identify recurring incidents by comparing current and historical problems and flagging those that may lead to future incidents.
  • Ensure all incidents are recorded in line with standards and logged on both JIRA and ServiceNow where applicable.
  • Determine priority classification by categorising problems and assessing impact and urgency based on system importance and user impact.
  • Participate in root cause resolution with specialist teams and reference supporting documentation for system outages.
  • Ensure diagnostic data is gathered and workarounds are tested before implementation.
  • Record and monitor problem resolution activities using the agreed toolset.
  • Update problem status to "known error" once root cause and workaround are identified and logged.
  • Review unresolved known errors and problems as per the list from Release Management and ensure alignment with incident closure processes.

Position: Legal Associate – Asset Management

Location: Cape Town (Office-based)

Sector: Renewable Energy

An exciting opportunity exists for a Legal Associate to support the Asset Management team by providing legal guidance across the project lifecycle—from financial close through construction and operation phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on key project and finance contracts (CTAs, PPAs, SHAs, MSAs, IAs)

  • Support the management of legal obligations tied to financing agreements

  • Draft and review legal notices and formal project correspondence

  • Assist in resolving project disputes and handling claims processes

  • Coordinate legal procedures and ensure contract compliance across stakeholders

Requirements:
  • LLB or equivalent law degree

  • 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in legal practice or in-house (ideally in project finance, banking, or infrastructure)

  • Experience with renewable energy, IPP, or construction sectors is advantageous

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
