Export & Import Controller (National & International Trade)

Full-Time | Competitive Salary Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end import and export logistics for goods across national and international markets.
- Ensure full compliance with SARS customs regulations , permits, and international trade laws.
- Liaise with freight forwarders , clearing agents , and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
- Monitor and maintain documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, CoO, etc.).
- Coordinate with internal investment teams and portfolio companies to ensure supply chain and trade efficiency.
- Track and report on costing, duty rates, rebates, tariffs, and HS codes .
- Resolve customs and shipping delays and handle exception management professionally.
- Proven experience as an Import/Export Controller (5+ years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of customs procedures , shipping regulations , and trade compliance .
- Experience working with international markets and multi-country logistics.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in import/export software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience working within an investment holding company or across multiple business units.
- Familiarity with SAP, CargoWise, or similar logistics platforms .
