The role holder will be responsible to translate business demand into Human Resources (HR) service delivery needs, including Employee Relations and Transformation Centres of Excellence responsibilities.

Align strategically with the business division

  • Responsible for the primary relationship between HR, the Functional Executive and their Senior Management team (and leadership team) in the allocated business division
  • Operate as the Relationship Manager for the business division, responsible for brokering HR services to execute business strategies

Enable HR strategies

  • Proactively partner with the business to implement the Human Resources strategies
  • Manage the delivery of Human Resources solutions to the business division based on the direction set by the Human Resources function

Requirements

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic consulting to the business division to support organisational design and development
  • Own the Employee Relations and Transformation Centres of Excellence for the Company.
  • Design and deliver organisational development interventions
  • Provide an escalation point for complex individual case management.
  • Analyse and investigate business and people issue and trends within the division; identify improvement opportunities and establish action plans to address them.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures aligned with the strategy
  • Collaborate with other HR Business Partners to ensure a team approach and leverage strengths.

Manage core HR initiatives in the division

Talent management

  • Support recruitment

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Human Resources function
  • Minimum 4 two years’ experience within in a similar role
  • Good relationship management skills and ability to build credibility with senior leaders
  • Developed skills and proven experience in some of the key areas of Human Resources Business Partnering, including strategic consulting, organisation design, change management, human resource planning, employee relations, performance management and compensation management

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, full-time Talent Acquisition Partner to identify, engage with and hire A-player talent for HyperionDev as we scale our team.

As the Talent Acquisition Partner you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle which includes assisting in developing and reviewing the hiring toolkit (job spec, outcomes, assessment) for each role, proactively identifying and sourcing prospects, screening and evaluating candidates, and managing the job offer process with selected candidates. You will handle internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with hiring managers as you train them on our hiring process, update them on progress on their roles, and guide them on their hiring plans, job specifications and candidate evaluation.

You will also help develop the company-wide talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the Talent and People Operations teams, support us in building our EVP and talent community, and contribute to employer brand promotion through social content and talent webinars. You will track hiring metrics to help make further improvements to our hiring process.

As you will be the main point of contact for applicants for several roles, you will need to ensure a positive candidate experience. To be successful in this role, you should have good knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute on the strategic recruitment plan in line with the company hiring process
  • Managing all stages in the hiring process, from sourcing to acceptance of offer letters and background checks
  • Identify and creatively source applicants including through online and offline methods
  • Advertise open roles on various channels including job boards, professional social networks and our careers page
  • Screen resumes and applications, and conduct initial screening calls based on essential criteria
  • Liaise with hiring managers regarding hiring needs
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics, and use data to inform improvements in our hiring process
  • Organise candidate data and all communication via our ATS (Greenhouse).
  • Reach out to potential candidates and build relationships for future job opportunities (via LinkedIn or email)
  • Relay job offers and negotiate terms
  • Help build our Employee Value Proposition and promote our company as a great place to work

  • Experience using social networks to source candidates and promote jobs (eg. LinkedIn, Angelist, Slack, job boards)
  • Experience managing various stakeholders and building relationships
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle various open positions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Greenhouse
  • Passionate about the transformative impact of education and technology

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, full-time Talent Acquisition Partner to identify, engage with and hire A-player talent for HyperionDev as we scale our team.

As the Talent Acquisition Partner you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle which includes assisting in developing and reviewing the hiring toolkit (job spec, outcomes, assessment) for each role, proactively identifying and sourcing prospects, screening and evaluating candidates, and managing the job offer process with selected candidates. You will handle internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with hiring managers as you train them on our hiring process, update them on progress on their roles, and guide them on their hiring plans, job specifications and candidate evaluation.

You will also help develop the company-wide talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the Talent and People Operations teams, support us in building our EVP and talent community, and contribute to employer brand promotion through social content and talent webinars. As you will be the main point of contact for applicants for several roles, you will need to ensure a positive candidate experience. To be successful in this role, you should have good knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute on the strategic recruitment plan in line with the company hiring process
  • Managing all stages in the hiring process, from sourcing to acceptance of offer letters and background checks

Job Description

The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is a key ambassador of the TFG employer brand.

This role will design all elements of our new employee people attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and employee integration model to attract and source top talent, aligned with business and brand strategies.

This role will design and implement our internal talent marketplace, new applicant tracking system and will manage talent acquisition related compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • End to end process design for the attraction and tracking of new employees.
  • Engagement with external stakeholders (agencies, higher educational institutions).
  • End to end youth pipeline recruitment design (Graduates, Learners, Interns, Trainees, Bursaries)
  • Accountable for the onboarding process design for all business units across stores, distribution centres, manufacturing and contact centres and head office.
  • End to end design and implementation of the new TFG ATS (applicant tracking system).
  • End to end design and implementation of the TFG ITM (internal digital talent marketplace).
  • Accountable for compliance related policies and processes relating to talent management (pre-employment verification, recruitment, onboarding, succession planning).
Requirements:
  • HR Related Degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 5 years experience in Talent Acquisition specialist design.
  • 8 – 10 years experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • Knowledge of People Management processes, Talent recruitment, and sourcing, Onboarding and recruitment systems.
  • High service delivery, customer centric and performance mindset.
  • Keen judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to take strategic thinking into a workable solution.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent design and systems thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.

The position is open to Johannesburg if the right-level candidate has sufficient experience. Preference is Cape Town.
